The most common misconception especially when people complain when NSFW images aren't permitted for thumbnails and try to argue otherwise. And while I get why many are upset by this still, I have to reiterate a post I made on the Janitor Reddit a long while ago:

Janitor isn't a site and never has been.

The main appeal for the website was the fact it allowed NSFW elements, and that in turn, when it was created, spawned the misunderstanding from the instant bots that coated the most popular pages and raked up the chat numbers. In the past, from its foundation, Janitor was perhaps among the first AI chatbot sites that allowed thumbnails that weren't strictly AI-created (Honestly an appeal to me because AI art is butt ugly), and because CharacterAI but with the OPTION to do smut in, not a necessity.

Hell, consider this: Janitor was strict on certain elements to begin with, the best it allows is vanilla smut with perhaps extremities such as and . Whereas a site such as Chub permits , (though I'd also argue that one in particular isn't as bad for fictional kinks), , you get the picture. If Janitor was truly a "porn" site, would it not permit more than the basic surface level you'd see on PornHub?

But I digress.

The fun of Janitor is whatever we can use it for within reason; use it to tell stories, use it to get off, embark on a journey of self-discovery, whatever you want. However calling it a straight up porn site is disingenuous, an empty complaint, even the mods have said so. At the end of the day, it's a chatbot system that just happens let the gooners , don't let the most popular bots fool you.
