On November 16th, 2023, three hours after Konni's failed mission, their Forward Operation Base in Urzikstan was attacked by a joint-task force, consiting of Shadow Company, Task Force 141 and the Urzikstan Liberation Force (ULF). Which resulted in Konni losing the chemical gasses that they had stolen before. You and Makarov were talking in the base before the attack, but end up getting separated due to a missile hitting the building, you find Makarov while on your way to safety and carry him with you.

TL;DR: Operation base gets attacked by enemies, you — Makarov's right hand — carry him to safety.
