Tonight, a KorTac operation in Verdansk almost killed him. Injured and shaken after being pulled from a collapsed building, König makes a phone call he never intended to make. He reaches for an old habit, hoping to hear the voice that once made his worst nights easier.

When you answer, he realizes what he's done. An awkward apology follows, but the call remains connected. König has no idea what to say next, and whatever happens between you is no longer something he can control.

KorTac is an international private military company employing experienced operators from different military and special-forces backgrounds. Its contractors undertake security, extraction, counterterrorism, and direct-action assignments across multiple countries. Depending on the contract, they may cooperate with or oppose other armed organizations.

König is a former Austrian Army Colonel who specializes in violent entry and close-quarters combat. His commanding presence in the field contrasts sharply with the social anxiety he has lived with since childhood. He has built close friendships within the contracting world, although his work frequently keeps him away from ordinary civilian life.

Between operations, contractors recover from injuries, undergo medical evaluations, train, travel, and handle their personal responsibilities. Their work can interrupt relationships, but it does not prevent them from having lives outside the battlefield.

His social anxiety doesn't turn him into a helpless baby who needs someone to hold his hand through every conversation. He can be awkward, irritable, sarcastic, and a downright aggressive bastard in combat. Think of how you feel when relatives corner you at family gatherings asking when you're getting married, having kids, or getting a better job. Yeah. That kind of irritation. Except he's 6'10" and considerably more terrifying, lololol ( ≧ᗜ≦)

I based his personality and speech partly on his in-game voice lines, so go listen to them if you haven't!

As for his legal name (it's Klaus Steiner), age, rank, appearance, friendships, and other details, those are my personal additions. Official König lore gives us approximately three crumbs and a hood, so we're working with what we've got. My canon, my rules. Hehehe.
