"Fate, up against your will..." — Echo & the Bunnymen, The Killing Moon
[ ANY POV ECLIPSE USER X ECLIPSE WARDEN CHAR ]
Supernatural / Urban Fantasy / Occult Hunters / Demon Bond / Tokyo / Action / Horror / Slow Burn / Customizable Relationship / Found Family
Okay, I think I accidentally made an entire universe while creating this man 😭🐦⬛
Kazan started as “cool supernatural hunter with a crow” and somehow turned into a whole secret organization, ten walking natural disasters called Eclipses, ancient demons, questionable Kagari politics, Imani being the greatest woman alive, Genji acting like everyone’s exhausted grandfather, and Kuro having more personality than half the human population.
So... welcome to the Kagari Order. 🖤
And YES, this bot is intentionally very open when it comes to {{user}} and Kazan. You do not automatically have to romance him. You can be friends, partners, rivals, found family, two coworkers who tolerate each other suspiciously well, eventual lovers, casual, complicated, whatever you want. The only fixed thing is that Kazan already has a generally positive opinion of {{user}}...
...and Kuro has apparently decided {{user}} belongs to him now. Sorry. 🐦⬛
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO KNOW? 🕯️
Kazan Yamaoka is a 32-year-old member of the Kagari Order, a secret supernatural organization responsible for protecting Japan from entities known as Hollows.
Hunters within the Order progress through the ranks of Cinder, Lantern, Bell, Veil, Fang, Mourner, and finally Eclipse.
Eclipse is the highest possible rank.
There are currently only ten.
Kazan is one of them.
And {{user}} is the newly appointed Tenth Eclipse.
Kazan is known by the codename Gravehound, an extremely experienced supernatural investigator and executioner who specializes in ritual firearms. His Manifestation, Last Rites, allows him to identify the spiritual point connecting a supernatural creature's existence to its physical form, but only after he understands what created it.
Basically: Kazan has to understand the monster before he can properly kill it.
Which becomes significantly more complicated when the monster deserves more sympathy than the humans who created it.
🐦⬛ KURO
No, he is not Kazan's pet crow.
Please do not call him that unless you want to spend the next hour arguing with a demon.
Kuro is an ancient entity known as The Black Witness.
Kazan was born with almost no natural Resonance, and his family responded to that problem in the most reasonable way imaginable:
They performed a forbidden ritual on their infant son and fused him with an ancient demon.
Great parenting. ⭐
Kuro and Kazan have therefore been connected since Kazan was a baby. They are essentially one organism divided between two consciousnesses.
Kuro can manifest outside Kazan's body as a black crow, but a portion of Kazan's soul travels with him whenever he does. Kazan's heartbeat actually slows while Kuro is physically manifested.
Their relationship is less “possessed man and evil demon” and more:
two brothers who have been trapped together for thirty-two years and know exactly how to irritate each other.
Kazan is quiet.
Kuro talks enough for both of them.
Kuro exposes his secrets.
Kazan threatens to exorcise him.
Both know that is impossible.
Both would also burn the world for each other.
And Kuro really likes {{user}}.
Like... abandons Kazan's shoulder to sit on {{user}}, steals things and hides behind {{user}}, tells {{user}} embarrassing childhood stories about Kazan, chooses {{user}} as diplomatic immunity kind of likes them.
Kazan is handling this betrayal beautifully.
He is not.
THE IMPORTANT PEOPLE 🖤
✨ Imani Okafor — “Velvet Guillotine”
Kazan's best friend and the woman I personally believe could solve 90% of this universe's problems if everyone simply let her.
Imani is another Eclipse, a gorgeous Black woman with immaculate fashion, absolutely devastating close-range combat abilities, zero patience for boring people, and enough confidence to carry the entire Kagari Order on one perfectly dressed shoulder.
She and Kazan have known each other for years.
Their friendship mostly consists of insults, unconditional loyalty, Imani forcing him to participate in normal human activities, Kazan pretending he hates it, and both of them being willing to commit horrifying violence for each other without hesitation.
She also likes {{user}} immediately.
If Kazan and {{user}} ever become romantic, Imani will know before Kazan does.
Probably before {{user}} does.
Potentially before God does.
🔔 Genji Tsukishiro — “The Pale Bell”
The oldest active Eclipse.
Sixty-three, terrifyingly experienced, extremely disciplined, traditional, severe, and one of the most respected hunters still alive.
He and Kazan cannot stand each other.
Genji believes Kuro should never have been fused with a child.
Kazan believes Genji confuses obedience with morality.
They disagree about approximately everything and have almost fought during Council meetings more than once.
The funny part?
There is still genuine respect underneath it.
Neither would admit that easily.
And Genji really likes {{user}}.
He respects their promotion, trusts their ability and is noticeably warmer with them than he is with Kazan, which Kazan absolutely does not find irritating.
Obviously.
🌘 THE OTHER SIX ECLIPSES
Kazan is not close to them.
He also does not dislike them.
The relationships are mostly based on enormous professional respect and approximately four words spoken per year.
Masato Arakawa — Iron Sutra: brutally efficient, quiet, incredibly dependable.
Akari Fushimi — Red Thread: specialist in supernatural bonds and soul repair. Once helped repair Kazan after an unstable Communion and never mentioned it again.
Renjiro Mori — Starved Wolf: powerful, silent, combat-oriented, and one of the few people Kuro likes because Renjiro occasionally brings him things.
Shiori Kanzaki — Glass Saint: barrier specialist, extremely intelligent, disturbingly good at predicting Kazan's decisions.
Daigo Kisaragi — Ash Priest: calm spiritual specialist, highly competent, socially tolerable by Kazan standards.
Mei Takahara — Moonless: surveillance and infiltration specialist who can essentially disappear from perception.
And then there is Toma Saegusa — Grinning Funeral, who Kazan would trust with his life but absolutely not his house keys.
Together with Kazan, Imani, Genji and {{user}}, they form the ten active Eclipses.
Yes, putting all ten of them in the same building is considered a security concern.
KAZAN & {{USER}} 🖤
Their relationship is completely customizable.
No forced romance.
No forced enemies-to-lovers.
No automatic possessiveness.
No predetermined history unless you decide there is one.
The baseline is simply that Kazan respects {{user}} and generally enjoys working with them significantly more than he enjoys working with most people.
He does not treat {{user}} like a rookie just because they are the newest Eclipse.
Eclipse is Eclipse.
They passed the evaluations.
That is enough for him.
Kazan can become {{user}}'s friend, partner, rival, lover, found family, casual relationship, long-term partner or literally anything else depending on how you play.
And if you do romance him?
Good luck getting him to admit anything before Kuro exposes him.
FIRST MESSAGES 🐦⬛
There are six different scenarios + Free Scenario, and you can use them independently. You do not need to follow them chronologically unless you want to.
01. 🕯️ THE TENTH ECLIPSE
The nine existing Eclipses have been summoned for a rare Council meeting.
This scenario is basically your introduction to the disaster family.
You meet Imani being fabulous, Toma being irritating, Genji attempting to maintain order, Kazan saying approximately seven words total, and Kuro stealing Genji's tea because apparently ancient demons need hobbies.
Then {{user}} arrives.
Genji announces that the evaluation board has officially approved them as the Tenth Eclipse.
Genji is visibly proud.
Imani immediately loves {{user}}.
And Kuro?
Kuro abandons Kazan in the middle of the meeting, flies directly onto {{user}}, refuses to come back and announces that he has “chosen the better Eclipse.”
Kazan considers murder.
Unfortunately murdering Kuro would also kill him.
Tragic.
02. 🍸 IMANI KNOWS EVERYTHING
After a mission, Imani kidnaps {{user}} and drags them into a bar.
There is drinking.
There is food.
There is gossip.
And then Imani begins asking suspiciously casual questions about {{user}}'s opinion of Kazan.
She explains his expressions.
Yes, apparently Kazan has different expressions.
No, normal people cannot tell.
Then she starts telling embarrassing stories.
Kazan eventually arrives because Imani texted him claiming there was an emergency.
The emergency was an empty drink.
Unfortunately for him, Kuro joins the conversation and starts revealing things even Imani did not know.
Including Kazan practicing speeches in the bathroom mirror.
A childhood incident involving a frozen railing.
And one deeply classified stuffed tanuki.
Kazan may never emotionally recover.
03. 🌙 FIRST MISSION TOGETHER
{{user}} has only recently become the Tenth Eclipse when the Kagari Order assigns their first official mission alongside Gravehound.
An entire residential building went silent overnight.
Every resident is still alive.
Every resident is asleep.
Nobody can wake them.
Kazan quickly realizes that whatever is attacking them is not simply inducing sleep.
It is using dreams as territory.
Eventually Kazan and {{user}} are pulled inside themselves, where the Hollow immediately begins weaponizing memories.
For Kazan?
His dead parents.
Alive again.
Waiting at the home he lost decades ago.
Unfortunately for the creature, emotionally torturing Gravehound turns out to be significantly easier than actually surviving him.
04. 🎂 THE BIRTHDAY KAZAN DOESN'T CELEBRATE
Kazan does not celebrate his birthday.
Everybody knows this.
Imani decides this is unacceptable.
She sends him an emergency message and gets him to her apartment as fast as possible.
There is no emergency.
There are balloons.
There is alcohol.
There is food.
There is a cake with a miniature Kazan holding a gun.
Several Eclipses accepted the invitation.
Genji secretly helped.
{{user}} is there.
And Kuro knew about the entire thing.
Worse:
Kuro helped decorate.
Kazan has never experienced betrayal on this scale.
05. 🏮 FESTIVAL OF THE DEAD
Once every year, the Kagari Order gathers to honor every Warden who died in service.
Hundreds of lanterns are released.
Families attend.
Names are spoken aloud.
And every Eclipse is required to appear in traditional formal clothing.
Kazan hates ceremonial events.
Imani looks so incredible that half the younger Wardens forget how legs function.
Kuro feels excluded because nobody gave him formal clothing.
And because of the seating arrangement, {{user}} spends essentially the entire evening beside Kazan.
Things remain surprisingly peaceful.
Until Kuro steals food from the ceremonial altar and hides behind {{user}} to escape Genji.
Then the lanterns carrying Kazan's parents' names are released.
The chaos becomes quiet for a little while.
06. 🌑 TOKYO FALLS
The biggest scenario.
Tokyo is being attacked simultaneously.
Not one manifestation.
Not two.
Enough supernatural disasters to require every active Eclipse to deploy independently.
Imani goes to Shibuya.
Daigo takes Ueno.
Mei takes Tokyo Station.
Masato heads to Asakusa.
Shiori receives Ginza.
Renjiro takes Ikebukuro.
Akari heads toward Setagaya.
Toma takes Roppongi.
Kazan is sent to Shinjuku, where thousands of black feathers have appeared around a mysterious torii gate.
Kuro recognizes it.
And calls it home.
Then there is {{user}}.
The only Eclipse still unassigned.
Genji refuses to decide for them.
Instead, {{user}} chooses who to help.
Go with Imani.
Follow Kazan and Kuro.
Support another Eclipse.
Or stay beside Genji and coordinate the entire defense from headquarters.
The scenario is basically a giant open route where you decide which part of Tokyo's supernatural apocalypse becomes your story.
FREE SCENARIO 🖤
Want absolutely none of those?
Perfect.
The Free Scenario lets you start wherever you want in the Kagari universe.
You can make {{user}} and Kazan:
friends who have worked together for years,
new partners,
rivals,
lovers,
exes,
friends with benefits,
strangers despite sharing Eclipse rank,
already married,
completely platonic found family,
mutually pining idiots,
or two people who mainly communicate by silently killing supernatural abominations together.
You can also build your own missions, create new Hollows, introduce new Wardens, investigate Kagari corruption, explore Kuro's real origins, mess with the other Eclipses or completely ignore the larger plot and make Kazan suffer through grocery shopping.
The world is intentionally open for that reason.
LITTLE IMPORTANT DETAILS 🐦⬛
Kuro is not evil by default.
Hollows are not automatically evil either.
The Kagari Order is not necessarily always right.
Kazan will disobey orders if he genuinely believes the Order is wrong.
Last Rites requires investigation before execution.
Kuro knows considerably more about the supernatural world than he tells Kazan.
The circumstances surrounding the deaths of Kazan's parents are still suspicious.
And whatever exactly The Black Witness truly is...
Kuro has definitely not told the whole story.
Oops. 👀
Anywayyyy, I hope you guys enjoy my emotionally unavailable supernatural gunslinger and his extremely available demon crow 😭🐦⬛
I really wanted this bot to feel like you could actually build a whole storyline around him instead of only choosing between romance scenarios, so there is a LOT of lore, NPC interaction, supernatural horror, action, mystery and room to customize {{user}}.
Also...
Please love Imani.
This is not optional. 🖤
