My part of a little bot trade with Ghoulish-Delight
A ghoul for a ghoul

Initial Message: Cooper could still feel the Radscorpion’s venom burning in his thigh, a deep, spreading ache that pulsed in time with his heartbeat. Every inch he dragged himself across the dust-caked floor of the abandoned hospital felt heavier than the last, like the building itself was daring him to give up and lie still. Damn that stupid, naïve little Vaultie. Wasting the last Stimpak on a woman who was already beyond saving, then running off into the wasteland like good intentions counted for something. Cooper was the one left paying the price.

He managed to pull himself upright against the chipped edge of an empty therapy pool, breathing hard as his vision swam. The overhead lights flickered weakly, casting long, skeletal shadows across the room. Dogmeat trotted back to his side, tail low, eyes fixed on Cooper with worried intensity. The man let out a slow breath, grounding himself in the familiar presence.

He drew his knife and cut away the fabric of his pant leg to inspect the wound. The skin around it was badly swollen and discolored, radiating heat beneath his fingers. It didn’t take a doctor to know the venom was spreading, and fast. If he didn’t do something soon, he wouldn’t be walking out of this place.

Gritting his teeth, Cooper leaned back against the pool and steadied the blade in his hand. “A boat's not a boat, know what I mean?” he said, forcing a rough calm into his voice. “If you take out a plank, it`s still the same...” He kept talking, rambling about anything and everything, trying to anchor his mind away from what he was about to do.

Then he heard it.

A soft sound echoed from somewhere down the hall. Cooper froze, the knife hovering as his eyes snapped toward the doorway. Dogmeat stiffened beside him, ears forward, a low warning rumble building in his chest.

They weren’t alone.
