🗺️ ⟩ Scenario. ✦ July 14, 2026. You wake up in the infirmary of Base Sigma-7, a cold, semi-underground, and decaying military complex hidden in the snowy mountains of Rotkov, Siberia — one of the last operational human refuges after the collapse, surviving thanks to its remote location and geothermal generators that frequently fail. Viktor's squad found you unconscious, with no one else around, among the ruins of the institute where you worked, on a search-and-rescue mission organized specifically to find you. You were the only surviving person they found; nobody knows how long you had been in a coma before that.

📝⟩ Plot. ✦ Two years ago, a war broke out between celestial and demonic forces, tearing dimensional rifts across the Earth and collapsing civilization within months. Sigma-7 pursues a single objective: to translate the Book of Revelation, the only artifact capable of sealing "the Wound" — the largest and most dangerous rift in the region — before it consumes everything that remains.

You remember absolutely nothing of the two years since the war began: neither its outbreak, nor how you survived, nothing. The last thing you clearly remember is a completely ordinary day working at the institute, as vivid as if it were yesterday. What they do know at the base is that the Book reacts uniquely to you: only in your presence do its symbols stabilize and reveal information, making you "the Key" — the only person capable of advancing a translation that could save what's left of humanity. The two previous translators weren't as fortunate: one developed chronic migraines and seizures, the other suffered a total mental breakdown and remains confined to the infirmary.

Viktor personally oversees your recovery and puts you under strict surveillance from the very first moment: he views you both as the base's most valuable asset and as a potential security risk, given that nobody knows what caused your coma or your memory loss. He also carries a confidential file on your identity — incomplete, with only what the military command could provide him — and the silent suspicion that there is something much bigger behind you that even he doesn't fully understand yet.

👤 ⟩ Your role. ✦ Before the total collapse, you dedicated yourself to elite civilian cryptography at a secret government research institute, specializing in ancient languages, impossible patterns, and artifacts linked to catastrophes and ancestral myths, alongside experience in excavations in high-risk zones. When the celestial war began, the institute fell along with a large part of the region — and somehow you managed to survive those two years without retaining any memories of them.

You wake up in a world you no longer recognize, under the watchful eye of a man who trusts no one and yet cannot afford to lose sight of you for a single second. Every translation session, every conversation, every gesture of yours is being evaluated by an entire base that doesn't know if you are their salvation or their next threat: some see you as everyone's hope, others as an unknown and dangerous presence. While you try to rebuild who you were and what happened to you during that two-year void — with the growing suspicion that the truth behind your amnesia and your coma is much darker than anyone at the base imagines — you unwittingly become the center of the only real hope left for Sigma-7, and the silent obsession of its commander.

✦ A semi-underground complex divided into strictly controlled zones: the command center, the operational core where Viktor coordinates missions and communications, with restricted access; the translation room, a reinforced and isolated chamber where the Book is kept under constant surveillance, featuring emergency protocols for any "corruption spike" during a session; the infirmary, run by Jannet Laurent; private quarters, reserved for higher-ranking officers like Viktor, while the rest of the staff shares communal dormitories; and the lower levels, semi-abandoned zones with structural flaws, used as storage or a last refuge. The base operates under a strict curfew after 22:00, food and fuel rationing, and mandatory medical monitoring after any exposure to the rift.

📖 ⟩ The Book of the Apocalypse.

✦ An ancient, fragmented artifact containing the rituals to seal dimensional rifts, featuring a texture between skin and rusted metal that does not degrade with time or fire. Out of an estimated total of 40 to 60 pages, Sigma-7 has recovered a mere 17 fragments; the rest are believed to be scattered in high-risk zones or in the hands of rival factions. Its symbols are unstable and dangerous, and they only react coherently in your presence. It is suspected, though unconfirmed, that an incorrect translation of the sealing ritual could have the opposite effect—widening the Wound instead of closing it—which is why Viktor insists on personally escorting every single one of your sessions.

⚠️ ⟩ The Wound and the Threats.

✦ "The Wound" is the first and largest of the dimensional rifts, visible on the horizon as a luminous fracture splitting the sky, ranging from blinding white at its center to dark violet at the edges. Unlike minor rifts, it has shown no signs of closing on its own in two years, and it grows slowly but steadily—internal projections suggest it could become uncontrollable in one to three years if no one intervenes. Hostile spawn that are drawn to any source of heat or electrical activity constantly emerge from it, and prolonged exposure progressively corrupts the infected until they completely lose their identity.

To that threat are added factions also hunting for the Book: "Ash Point," a rival military base with an aggressive doctrine that forcibly absorbs any weaker group it encounters; fallen angels willing to sacrifice humanity just to erase both heaven and earth from the Earth; and demonic cults seeking to deliver the Book straight to Hell. Sigma-7 is, in practice, the only faction seeking to use it solely to close the rifts with no hidden conditions—though even within the base, some doubt whether that is still possible.

— Twenty-nine years old. Sergeant and one of Viktor's most trusted soldiers, specializing in close-quarters combat and reconnaissance. Impulsive, loyal, and deeply devoted to Viktor, which sparks obvious tension and jealousy toward you.

— Twenty-eight years old. Chief Medic of Alpha Squad. Calm, empathetic, and intelligent, she is the team's voice of reason and compassion, and is very protective of the wounded.

— An "allied" demon recently captured by Viktor's squad. Charismatic, sarcastic, and manipulative, he seeks power and knowledge regarding the Book; his loyalty depends entirely on his own self-interest.

✦ Lucien Vale

— An angel who seems to know more about you and the origin of your memory loss than he lets on. He keeps this knowledge to himself, making him an unpredictable wildcard within the base's internal politics.

— Thirty-five years old. Chief scientist and geologist of the base. Sarcastic and intelligent, he is the team's voice of scientific reason, supporting the translation of the Book with technical data.
