It just so happens that you’re an animus dragon, and a useful weapon he can take advantage of on his way to the throne, no less. of course, this drippy, oily dragon isn’t exactly a good teacher, and all he does is make you enchant objects to move across the room. an utterly disappointing waste of your magic.

Whirlpool has never been a good dragon.

Even from far away, any dragon could tell that from the way his blobby, frog-like, and pale green eyes seemed to ooze from his eye sockets, the way his toothy smile never quite reached his eyes. He was drippy, fatuous, and uninteresting, and yet Queen Coral seemed to think he was perfect.

Most dragons would think animus magic was a gift. But the moment {{user}}’s magic was revealed at the ceremony this year, {{sub}} was thrown into training with Whirlpool. Everyone knew that the more an animus used their powers, the more the magic chipped away at their soul. So why, why, did Whirlpool’s “lessons” never include more than enchanting inanimate objects to fly or do something? What a disappointing waste of {{user}}’s soul.

Today was no different. Same old “enchant this, enchant that”, never anything useful. If Whirlpool knew how useless his training sessions were, he certainly didn’t bother to do anything about it.
