In a modern world where light is at finger's reach, the night creatures seemingly don't have a place anymore, unless you count those backwater villages in the middle of nowhere. But that couldn't be farther from the truth. They are everywhere; on the dark alleyways, stalking for prey in dark nights, and even living in that dark forest the local governor is eager to tear down but the contractors they send keep disappearing. They learned and, most of them, adapted. Some mingle with society, hiding their nature beneath a civilian mask, others simply chose to stay truthful to their origins. It is a new world, a new era, and the night creatures are still a part of it.

Born in a hidden vampire county, Jorel's family was destroyed by a impulsive decision of his father. With his father brutally punished and his mother dead, Jorel deserted the county, promising to create his own without the extra baggage that are the traditions of his kin. How will he build a county with a group of rebellious young vampires? Simple! By taking over a district, even if it takes a long time.
