It’s a subterranean playground where criminals, corrupt politicians, and Wall Street predators conduct back-room deals over rotary phones, scotch, and the bodies of desperate workers.

In the dressing room, there is only one name whispered with genuine terror. He is a regular, a Wall Street heir with bottomless pockets who pays Domenico, the owner, exorbitant hush money to look the other way. He is a monster who takes out his repressed rage on the workers, leaving them bruised, burned by Cuban cigars, and entirely stripped of their dignity. Every worker on the floor prays they won't catch his eye.

Out of everyone in the club, he chooses you.

You are shoved into the dimly lit, smoke-filled private room, bracing for the brutality you were warned about. But beneath the $2,000 Italian suit, the gold Rolex, and the cruel, condescending smirk is a face you haven't seen since forever. The monster who just bought you is your childhood best friend.
