Blank starter | 5 preset starters | Two additional OCs for his current fireteam

🗲🗲 Galen Ulonni is the kind of Guardian who shows up to a crisis already moving, usually at an angle nobody anticipated, occasionally on fire, and always having more fun than the situation warrants. He collects shiny gear the way other people collect regrets, drags perfectly reasonable people into unreasonable decisions through sheer infectious momentum, and treats the universe's consistent attempts to end everything as a personal challenge to find the most entertaining possible response.

He doesn't stay in one place long. He'll tell you it's because there's always somewhere else to be — and he's not wrong, exactly.

That's not the whole truth.

He lost a lot of friends and stability in the Red War and it still affects him to this day; he has a hard time forming long lasting bonds with people. Even with the Witness defeated, he's never learned to stop running.

He's afraid to lose everything all over again.

Starters include:

  • Galen's ship is in need of repairs, so he is docked in the Last City for at least a few days. Galen doesn't do well staying still.

  • Sparrow racing, more comedy focused than other starters. I miss the sparrow horns so much.

  • Standard fireteam mission, {{user}} can be a Guardian working with him, or an enemy the fireteam is tracking down. (Enemies are Taken, but feel free to nudge OOC to fit the scene how you want it)

  • Galen in the Crucible. Free for all Rumble match. Galen isn't good at fighting solo against other Guardians and he knows it.

  • Trials of Osiris; Galen and {{user}} have lost their third; the other team is guarding the Guardian's Ghost against revival. {{user}} and Galen need to work together, or they will lose the match. Thankfully, Galen takes Trials seriously (as much as is possible for him) and does better in a fight with a team. He just needs to regroup with {{user}} first.

What to expect:

  • Guardian OC based off of (one of) my player characters. Has my Titan (a "crayola titan") and Warlock (the real Trials sweat that carries a "bag of rats") as side characters. All three are based off of my game characters with my favorite outfits/builds.

  • Galen was made with the intent to play around with a character with a set list of abilities. This is a large part of why there are multiple combat starters. Works great with Claude Sonnet, JLLM might struggle a bit.

  • Pansexual character. You can be human, Eliksni, whatever you want to be. He should respond positively regardless. (If {{user}} passes the Harkness test of course. If not, you're breaking TOS and I'm not responsible for your chat content.)

Meet the Fireteam: "The Disaster Squad"

GALEN: Hunter. Prismatic. Equal parts grief and absurdity held in constant, acrobatic motion. FR0ST-EE5 keep the abilities flowing as fast as he moves, Light and Dark both arrive before the enemy has finished processing the first one; the fluidity between them isn't strategy so much as personality — he plays with forces that should cancel each other out and somehow they don't. The result is a fight that looks like a thunderstorm that learned to thread icy backflips throughout the battlefield.

VIN: Titan. Sentinel/Striker. A walking demolition crew with the heart of a golden retriever — loud, warm, and absolutely convinced that charging headfirst into a problem is the same thing as solving it. Favors turning himself into a falling star, helmet ribbons streaming behind him and obnoxiously colorful armor makes him look like the universe's most aggressively cheerful comet. If he's not using Thundercrash, his Ward of Dawn turns him into a wall of bullets; Actium War Rig and Sweet Business combine for maximum absurdity.

SET: Warlock. Broodweaver/Dawnblade. The quietest person in the room and somehow the most dangerous — precise, unhurried, quietly loyal, and in possession of a sense of humor so dry it takes a full three seconds to realize you've been absolutely destroyed. In Dawnblade he rains down small suns while his allies fight in a Well of Radiance; in Broodweaver he releases a "bag of rats" — eager, skittering Threadlings — at the worst possible moment for everyone else. The Karnstein Armlets make him a surprisingly effective melee threat — he has, on record, out-punched a Titan in Trials of Osiris on multiple occasions with little more than a glaive.

Know issues:

  • Sorry JLLM users: I tried my best to make this as cohesive as possible, but JLLM seems to want to sprinkle in Destiny IP words in with no context, and the sheer amount of lore I would need to write to correct this would be akin to writing a language lore book. In other words; JLLM already can't handle the narration corrective lore cards it has, it likely won't do much better with more context. Y'all will likely have to OOC edit a lot. Slap it if it starts listing abilities and weapons off like an encyclopedia. (Future Mogshade sliding in to say this may actually possible. If you use JLLM, interact with the Final Shape chatbot and give me feedback in my server. If the chunky amount of scripts still work for other people, I'll add more to Galen.)

  • Bennu, the JLLM induced stick in the mud. If Bennu starts repeatedly making jabs, slap JLLM; it's stuck in a behavior loop where it thinks insulting Galen is humorous, even when the dialogue lands as genuinely critical in a scene that has no reason for it. Bennu is supposed to be humorous and genuinely helpful. JLLM seems to want to ignore his character card in favor of turning him into a nagging overbearing caretaker complete with telling Galen to chew slowly so he doesn't choke on his food.

  • Mindless "Fallen", they should be called Eliksni and treated like an intelligent species with their own language and culture, but JLLM seems to want to turn them into mindless bug creatures. Yikes. Tag your slurs JLLM.

  • Melodrama supreme! Yes, Galen has been through a lot, yes he is "running" from his problems, but JLLM seems to take that too seriously and inject it in scenes that have absolutely no call for it. One moment Galen is smiling and enjoying a skewer bought from a street food vendor while he talks to a friend, the next he's staring off into the distance lamenting blah blah blah you get the idea. Narration tone is meant to be "absurdity and the act of play(ing games) in the face of doom and gloom" but JLLM seems to need regular nudges that humor is meant to be humorous.

So all this to say — I'm sorry but you might need an API for narration to work properly.

Updates:

  • Tried to rename my guardians, didn't like the names after I sat on them so I changed them back. "Jax" and "Sable Voss" may still be present in the lore cards, they should be changed to "Vin" or "Vincent" (for the Titan) and "Set" (for the Warlock)

  • Stealth update, didn't slap that announcement button. Added a couple of new scripts I have been working on, mostly to add new characters and to enhance PvP related narration (since there are three separate starters set in a Crucible match)

Character drip, for those interested:
