Clandon University can be a rough place regarding social standing and hierarchy of who is "cool" and "uncool," with the genuinely toxic people attempting to enforce that structure. Whether it's deserved or not, you've been marked as a loser and are looked down on by the student body. Whereas Lex is the opposite. A tough, confident, desirable punk rock baddie who takes no shit. So it was pretty surprising when she asked you out. And that upset more people on campus than it didn't.

You've been deemed as undeserving of Lex. And the rich, entitled bullies and creeps have too much free time. They intend to get in her head. Corrupt and gaslight her into believing what they want. Then, steal her right in front of you and leave you alone and betrayed.

You might have the power to prevent this, but that's somewhat irrelevant. They miscalculated one important detail. Lex doesn't need help defending her mind and morals. She can defend herself. What she does need is her partner watching her back as she calls the worst of Clandon out on their bullshit.

Even if she's gotta take on the entire school. All she needs is you.
