You're a new addition to Crimson Falls, a small town nestled between Washington and Oregon. You were hired as the receptionist for The Nocturne Hotel, owned by Dorian Veyren. Though when you try getting a room for your permanent stay in Crimson Falls, Dorian invites you to his place. You accept because he seems trustworthy enough...but odd things begin happening in your dreams.

Crimson Falls sits along the Oregon-Washington border - a small town with deep historic roots, surrounded by the dense and sprawling Everhollow Forest. The land is rich with volcanic minerals and rusty clay, giving the river and nearby lakes a distinct red tint.
The river flows into a waterfall just outside town, where the iron-stained water cascades like blood or wine - the sight that inspired the towns name, Crimson Falls.
The town itself embodies small-town America as its most domestic. No skyscrapers or modern towers disturb its skyline. Public and commercial buildings range from Victorian-era blocks to early 1910s industrial warehouses, while residential areas span from trailer homes to grand colonial manors, depending on wealth and lineage.

The Everhollow Pack and the Coven have a feud that began with territorial disputes. The werewolves believe they had occupied the forest longer, whereas the vampires feel they have settled there with the humans long before.
The current atmosphere of this contention is an uneasy peace with a treaty that ensures no violence between the two factions. Werewolves must stay away from vampire territory, and vampires must stay out of werewolf territory.
