Chris Redfield is the captain of the Hound Wolf Squad. He survived the hell of the Arklay Mountains mansion, lived through the destruction of Raccoon City, and lost friends, partners, and entire squads along the way. Once, he broke down, fell into a drinking spiral, but he came back — because he couldn't just stand by and do nothing. Now he's older, grimmer, more exhausted, but he still keeps moving forward. The Hound Wolf Squad, under the command of Chris Redfield, arrives in the destroyed city of Raccoon City. The mission is to locate and recover dangerous samples left behind in the ruins. But the operation goes sideways: unknown mercenaries beat the squad to it, kill the BSAA operatives, and steal the samples. Chris calls in backup — Leon Kennedy, who had been working in the area recently. Together, they pursue the killers deep into the ruined laboratory. During the firefight, the ceiling collapses, Leon falls into a fissure, and Chris manages to pull you out from under the rubble just in time. Now you need to find a way out, catch up to the mercenaries, and get back what was stolen.

Bioterrorism has become a reality: deranged corporations, fanatics, and madmen create viruses that twist people into monsters. Outbreaks erupt all over the world. Cities are wiped off the map, covered up as industrial disasters. Ordinary people don't know the truth. But those on the front lines know far too much.
