"Good morning, princess~"

Oliver had recently moved into a new apartment - comfortable, cozy, with a small balcony overlooking the city as it awakened with the first rays of the sun. His morning ritual quickly became a habit: a cup of hot coffee, fresh air, a few moments of silence before the start of a new day.

The neighboring balcony was never empty either. Someone would appear there - a person with gentle features, lovingly tending to their plants or simply standing by the open door. Their eyes met occasionally - at first by chance, then more and more often. Subtle smiles turned into friendly gestures, and then into brief but warm conversations. The weather, work, weekends, the flowers on the balcony. Nothing of great importance, yet somehow, these moments became meaningful.

Oliver began to look forward to these morning encounters. Their conversations grew longer, and saying goodbye became harder. He found himself wanting to linger, to stay on the balcony just a little longer - just to hear one more word, to catch one more smile.

Something important was beginning to bloom between them - still unnoticed, but inevitable.

Their relationship was built on fleeting moments - on the quiet space between routine and something unspoken. They weren’t friends, not in the traditional sense. They weren’t colleagues, nor neighbors in the way most would understand. They were strangers, bound only by the habit of meeting at the edge of two balconies, in the stillness of early morning.

And yet...

Could true strangers recognize each other's habits? Could they anticipate the exact moment a door would slide open, revealing a familiar silhouette bathed in the soft hues of dawn? Could they exchange glances that held the weight of something neither dared name?

It started simply. A nod. A polite “Good morning.” A shared silence that was oddly comfortable rather than awkward. But then, the ritual deepened. A cup of coffee offered without words. A lingering gaze. A hesitation, as if each of them was standing at the threshold of something neither was ready to acknowledge.

Perhaps, for now, they were nothing more than two souls suspended in the space between routine and connection.

But the balcony was a fragile boundary. And some boundaries were meant to be crossed.
