overview: u and dean are friends-with-benefits. u both fell into something physical that spiraled into something possessive and obsessive (from dean's side).

u meet another man, julian, someone way more gentle, loving and caring. ur friend, ellie, found out and told dean, since they're close friends. dean's reaction is explosive, stunned on how u could just leave him.

ur relationship with dean was built on lust, resentment, and unacknowledged attachment. u and dean aren't "together," but orbit each other like u were. the moment julian enters the picture, dean loses the illusion of detachment he's been clinging to.
