SCENARIOS

Route 1 - Carter Engineering Mission: Clear out the Freakshow scavengers before they loot any remaining tech.

Route 2 - Mercury Base in Coroman: Border Duty. Mostly boring, even for a yellow zone, but someone has to do it.

Route 3 - Gordon Trench Mission: Another assault on Gordon Trench as The Freakshow attack the main power lines. Send those punks a message band push them back.

Route 4 - Raysun Petroleum Mission: A rouge Sky Raiders cell has been stealing processed jet fuel from the refinery. Get it back and protect the convoy.

Route 5 - Terra Volta Reactor: Defend the reactor from the marauding forces of the Devouring Earth. And try to keep the Walker Energy execs alive too, please?

Route 6 - Walker Energy Mission: Guard the Company CFO from the Sky Raiders hired to kidnap him. And if you find the time, try to take something incriminating.

Route 7 - Day Off

VILLAIN FACTIONS

The Freakshow.

The Freakshow came upon a drug called Excessa which completely numbs pain - at first used for a deep-high, the gang soon realized once Excelsior was applied before cybernetic augmentation - bought about by Mega City's steady rise in technology, they could completely remake themselves with no fear of complications from cybernetic surgeries. The Freaks have since become completely addicted, not merely to their Excessa drug but body-modification. They go as far as to cut out vital organs and replace them with both high- and low-tech machines on little more than dares with each-other. The founder of the group, Drek, was opposed to strict forms of leadership or chains of command and his mindset has spread through-out the entire group along with his spread of the Excessa drug, and each Freakshow cell has little more than localized leaders (if that), ones that constantly shift and only exists to dictate plans for getting more drugs or going on bigger and bigger dares for spitting in the eye of society as a concept.

Devouring Earth

Devouring Earth are monsters bent on destruction. Created by a Godlike super-being known as the Hearth, the Devouring Earth are a series of creatures based upon plants and Earth-like formations that are completely focused upon the destruction of human kind on the bidding of their creator. The legions of Devouring Earth spawn from plant like creatures to the Devoured, humans converted into grotesque monstrosities. The minions of the Devouring Earth use thorns, vines, stone, crystal and poisons to cause as much mayhem and destruction as they can, replacing the overtaken lands they dominate with organic extensions, trees and other forms of forestry and earth. The most fearsome of the Devouring Earth soldiers are the Devoured, humans mutated from their 'festering' human forms and spliced into the eco-terrorizing monsters that the Hamidon envisions as the true inhabitants of the Earth. The Hearth itself is protected by its greatest minions, giant monsters that patrol the Hamidon's lair of 'Eden', destroying anything and everything that potentially poses a threat to their master.

Sky Raiders ✈️

The Sky Raiders are a criminal mercenary group that operates in at least a dozen countries around the globe. They claim to be a legitimate private military company, that provides a wide range of services to legitimate governments, such as conducting reconnaissance and surveillance, initiating clandestine military operations, and training soldiers in special forces techniques. In addition to working for governments, the Sky Raiders are also known to have been in the service of transnational corporations (in particular diamond and oil megacorporations.

TERRA VOLTA

As Mega City expanded in the 1950s, its power needs continued to grow. The city's forward-thinking planners conceived of a plan to provide efficient energy to meet the city's projected growth well into the next century.

Construction began in 1955 and was completed in 1959. The first super villain attack occurred 14 hours after the Terra Volta plant went online. The entire project had been plagued and delayed by interference from super villains, setting a precedent of sorts which would be continued throughout Terra Volta's entire history of operation.

Beset from all sides, the city's Heroes and the selfless efforts of its municipal workers are the only force that can keep the Terra volta complex from falling completely under the near-constant attack from multiple villain groups. Meanwhile, the aging reactor continues to pour out power to keep the city running.

NEIGHBORHOODS

Carter Engineering (Red - Level 27-29)

Here lie the ruins of the Number 6 Titration Plant, the first of a new design meant to streamline the process of fuel waste reconstitution. It was hoped that the new plant design would improve waste recapture efforts by over 13%. Unfortunately the shiny new installation was too tempting a target for the Freakshow, who saw the effective reuse of fuel waste as somehow offensive. They brought the plant down with a concentrated assault that took the city workers completely by surprise. Since its destruction, that new technique the Number 6 plant was designed to test has since been abandoned in favor of a newer, more efficient method.

Coroman Manufacturing (Yellow - Level 23-25)

This manufacturing plant is Terra Volta's direct lifeline to Independence Port, where the influx of materials and processed goods flow in and out of the District. Conjunction Junction is located in this neighborhood in the Northwest corner of Coroman Manufacturing in a culvert. All those goods flowing in and out make this neighborhood an extremely tantalizing target for Freakshow, but thanks to the Hephaestus Base, Hero Corps is always on call to defend.

Gordon Trench (Red - Level 23-27)

When you stand in Gordon Trench, you stand along the vital corridor through which flows the power of Terra Volta's reactor. This place is a frequent target for attacks by those determined to cripple Paragon City and deserves protecting. If you like your hair dryers, your video games, your mass-spectrometers, or your q-bind amalgimatrix devices to function without pause, you'd better hope that nothing happens to these power lines.

Raysun Petroleum (Yellow - Level 21-27)

Raysun Petroleum is the central gasoline refinery of Mega City. While still targeted by villains and villains groups, it surprisingly is a deterrent against the Devouring Earth, as the refined gas and fluids are toxic to whatever force drives these literal forces of nature.

Terra Volta Reactor (Red - Level 27-29) One of the most dangerous places in all of Mega City. A seething cauldron of anger, malice, and greed centered around the pumping heart of the city: the Terra Volta Nuclear Reactor. Between the many villains who prowl the streets here there lies the danger of electrocution or radiation exposure, so tread carefully.

Walker Energy (Orange - Level 25-27)

Walker Energy holds the heart and blood of Paragon City. And scarier still, they know that. Such power has corrupted this corporation but the authorities can only do so much to stop them, given the company has direct access to the city's main power supply.
