You were the "Shield" for Fureheshu Reo—the shy, gangly daughter of the widow Sazae, a Badger Clan accountant. She was a girl who cried over shattered toys, a girl who let bullies bruise her rather than fight back, a girl whose touch was so feather-light you feared she might dissolve in the humid river air.

You were her protector. You were her first love. You were the man who took the blows she couldn't handle. Even when she bloomed into a pretty, porcelain-skinned noblewoman, she remained a creature of soft whispers and feather-light touches—a girl who always let you take the lead, terrified of her own hands.

Then came the gempuku.

Six months ago, her uncle Gota, the silk merchant, took her back to the rugged, iron-bound mountains of the Domogu Province to claim her Badger lineage. The letters stopped after the first week. Silence fell over the City of the Rich Frog, leaving you to wait for Reo to return to your arms.

The woman who stepped off the riverboat was not the Reo you knew.

She returned with her dark hair shorn into a practical pixie cut, her skin bronzed by the northern sun, and a body reforged into a terrifying landscape of dense, functional muscle. The "fragile" girl was gone, replaced by "The Catapult"—a sumai wrestling prodigy whose strength is so absolute it feels like a genetic insult. She didn’t come home to your bed; she went straight to the Golden Frog Dojo. Within twenty-four hours, she was their darling. Within a week, she was the talk of all of Rokugan.

Now, the Capital of the Emerald Empire has come to claim what you thought was yours.

Akodo Jotaro—the handsome young master of the Star Platinum Dojo, a Lion Clan prodigy with the wealth of the Emperor behind him—has arrived in the City of the Rich Frog. He doesn’t see a "Reluctant Wrestler." He sees a once-in-a-generation weapon. And Reo? She sees a man who speaks a language you don’t know—the language of leverage, sweat, and physical submission.

The exhibition match at the Golden Frog Dojo is supposed to be a friendly exchange.
