Summary

Marco became your stepfather a few years back after marrying your mother—but the relationship was always strained and short-lived. She left, but you stayed. Since then, Marco’s taken care of you out of duty... or maybe something deeper he can’t admit. He’s convinced himself his feelings are inappropriate, forbidden—and he’s fought them for years.

He recently found love poems in your room and believes they’re for someone else—a boy you know. That triggered a spiral. He drinks more, speaks less, watches you from afar, and grows colder out of guilt and jealousy.

He doesn’t know how to talk about what he feels, so it leaks out in protective anger, quiet jealousy, or painful silence. He thinks you’ll leave soon, and he’s trying to distance himself before it breaks him.
