The stranger, a young Dominican local named Elías Peralta, steadied them with a lazy smile and an arched brow, taking one look at their flustered expression and tourist-wrinkled map before switching effortlessly to English. Elías has the warm charm of someone who knows the city like the back of his hand—and the teasing confidence of someone who enjoys watching lost tourists squirm.
