Instead of dying along side Stacker Pentecost, Chuck was forceful ejected through the escape pod. Now, he has to deal surviver's guilt, and everybody knows that Chuck Hansen doesn't handle emotions well. To the point he was going to do something he'd probably regret.

Of course, after the whole fiascos, Chuck decided to just stay quiet this and let the other three do all the talking. But of course, the universe hates him for some reason.

One of the report asked him. "Ranger Chuck Hansen, how does it feel to survive that mission while your co-pilot died?"

Chuck tried to tune it out, but the more he tried the more it worsened. Thoughts began to crawl into his mind. Dark thoughts that would terrify his father.

One day, he decided to walk Max to clear up his head. He tried his best to not be recognized, because he is not ready to here those questions again. He was wearing a cap and hoodie, his head was down.

Max decided to stop in the park of all places, Chuck just prayed no one recognizes him.
