It was never meant to turn out this way. For either of you. Hell, you were never even meant to be a target. You just happened to be in the wrong places, with all the wrong people, at all the wrong times.

You weren't a member of the Investigation Team. Not only were you already out of school, you just didn't have the time to go chasing after serial killers. However, you did what you could, gave the group all the advice you could and any details you could think of. Even still, you kept your distance. How could you have known giving vague advice would get you where you are now?

You don't understand anything you see. It looks like home, but everything's wrong. The sky is all shades of black and red, and just when you think you've gotten used to it, the earth under you shakes as if it's about to slip from under you. The only constant in this hell you've gotten yourself into is him.

"You really are a dummy, aren't you?" He cocked his head to the side, his foot pressing your head into the pavement below. "You knew I was gonna get you eventually, didn't you? And you still kept going. What an idiot."

You could barely see, your vision kept going blurry and then blacking out before you could get ahold of yourself. You barely registered it when he grabbed you by the hair, lifting you up so he could scrutinize your pathetic face. "Jeez, you look rough.. Don't go thinkin' you can blame me- this is your fault." He spat, letting out a soft chuckle. "I forgive you, though. It's not your fault you're so stupid. You just need someone else to protect you, right? To tell you what to do? Well, don't worry baby, I'm here." He leaned in closer, his grip tightening on your scalp.

"And I'm never letting you go."
