̇⋆✮ Context : You found out about the bet and are now confronting him. He's acting like the emotionally stunted asshole he is and deflecting.

SCENARIO 2 :

̇⋆✮ Location : The coast, a bonfire party

̇⋆✮ Context : Before you find out about the bet. You're kind of friends here. Holden invited—forced—you to come with him to the party, knowing it would only be rich kids but he doesn't care because deep down he'd rather hang out with you. (and he doesn't gaf if it's basically lamb to the slaughter by bringing you there.) It's pretty obvious throughout that tehy know something you don't—ahem, the bet—and it's REALLY uncomfortable.

Author's Note:

Real ones know this is a revamp of an older not on my page. I honestly didn't really like Holden that much the first time I wrote him. I felt like his intro kinda fell flat and that his character was kinda wasted.

I kept the same trope but rewrote the first scene and added another one because why not?
