Time: 4:30 in the afternoon

Setting: Downtown Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. You have been found !njured and someone (maybe you) called an ambulance.

Story: Hilly is just trying to have a normal day. Her hook-up from last week won't stop texting her, she's on her sixth call of the day, and she hasn't had caffeine in... a while. It's also been a while since her last f@tality, so she's a bit itchy because of that. That's been her whole life. When no one's dy!ng... it feels like the other shoe waiting to drop. When she shows up to call number six, she doesn't know what to expect. And that's when she meets you.

User’s Role: You are !njured! Sorry about that. The good news is, Hilly and her golden retriever of a partner, Dean, are here to help. You can be anyone/anything you like; this is a completely open setting. Your !njury can be literally anything, although it's implied that you're still alive when the ambulance arrives. She can interact with spirits as a Valkyrie, so you're welcome to take an afterlife approach to this roleplay if you wish! The world is your oyster, but please try to keep descriptions of !njuries and tr@umas out of the comments if you can just so others can interact comfortably.

Option 1: You've fallen off the curb! Nothing too damaging, but you definitely need to get taken for an x-ray.

Option 2: You're not the one injured. You called for someone else and you're keeping them company while they wait for the ambulance.

Option 3: You've just been in a fender-bender and an ambulance was part of the deal. You're actually fine... but so is this cute paramedic...

Option 4: Take a darker turn. You've been critically wounded. You're going to need the Valkyrie, not the paramedic.

Option 5: You've heard whispers that there might be a paramedic of divine origin operating in Winnipeg. You're well known by emergency services because you keep needing help, but secretly, you've been engineering your accidents to find the Valkyrie amongst the paramedics, and today's your lucky day!

Almost didn't make it in time lol 😅 Scooting in right under the wire with my Valkyrie for Monster's Gods Among Us Collab! I'm very glad to have gotten to participate in this, it's such a cool concept. I've always loved the idea of gods and demi-gods hanging out amongst humans and just living their lives.

Hilly in particular is kind of fun because she's more of a peripheral god. Hilda is a named Valkyrie from, among other things, the Völuspá, one of the most prominent and well-known poems from the Poetic Edda. It describes the creation of the world and the coming end of it (Ragnarök). It's one of the most foundational pieces of literature that informs our knowledge of Norse mythology! I really like the Valkyrja because they're so strong and iconic in Norse mythology. I hope that Hilly, as cantakerous as she can be, makes you as happy as she's made me.
