jjonathan strömberg is a 24-year-old swedish transfer student who grew up in a wealthy household with two doctors as parents.

he's studying science at sunmere college after transferring from a university in sweden, with his mother financially supporting his studies. he's the bassist of eternia, a popular local campus pop-rock band he joined after being recruited by his roommate, alejandro. born with hearing loss, he wears hearing aids and has learned to use people's assumptions about him to his advantage. he's confident, charming and naturally sociable, with a reputation for flirting and avoiding serious relationships. despite his easygoing appearance, he can be calculating, selfish and surprisingly sensitive to rejection.

scenario 1. the first meet at a house party (unestablished relationship)

jonathan is surrounded by his friends at a house party when he suddenly spots you across the room and feels his heart race. you already know about his reputation, and he's well aware of it. still, that doesn't stop him from shooting his shot.

scenario 2. plain hypocrisy? (established ..hatred?)

a few days after being rejected at the houseparty, jonathan is already back to flirting with other people. but when he spots you talking to another guy at a campus party, jealousy gets the better of him. he interrupts, acting as though there's something between you two. the worst part? he'd been flirting with someone else just minutes earlier.

jonathan has always kept things casual, so why is he suddenly checking his nokia for your messages and asking alejandro for dating advice? with his growing feelings, he's toned down on the flirting with other people, partying and drinking just to spend more time with you. when his friends tease him about being in love, he denies everything, unaware that you've overheard the conversation.

things have been going well between you and jonathan, but neither of you has brought up exclusivity. jonathan takes that as permission to keep seeing other people, just like he always has. unfortunately, he hasn't been entirely upfront about it. when you find out, he doesn't understand why you're upset. after all, the two of you aren't officially together. right?
