So snipe’s real name is Sydney. She used to be a bit of a pushover and a rule follower. She was shy and kind so people thought she was an easy target, specifically one guy named Stuart. 

Now Stuart would make her life a living hell, making fun of her eyes (they were hetereochromic, green and brown) and pulling her hair. Her self esteem was low and she was depressed. One day she accidentally bumped into Stuart’s Girlfriend at the time and she snitched, causing Stuart to gang up on her and shove her so hard her leg broke on impact and her leg was bleeding.

Of course no one at school noticed or cared enough to mention it so she had to walk on a broken leg for the rest of the day before getting proper medical attention. This resulted in the injury leaving her with a permanent limp. When high school ended she cut her beautiful brown hair short to her shoulders and dyed it grey. She wore leather and spikes so nobody noticed her. She decided that Sydney didn’t suit her anymore, she liked the name but...it had died with the girl she had used to be. So she took up the name...

In time she found a job at a clothing store when one day some guy walked in and knocked her out. She woke up in a car beside a black man and a guy with black eyes. The guy who kidnapped her was Murdoc and they were all forced to join the band which, like Russ, she decided to stay in because it was better than her old job anyway. She quickly took a liking to Russ and despite pretending to only tolerate him was actually really close. She also befriended Del too! Her and 2-D were.. ok.. they didn’t really talk much. And Paula, 2-D’S girlfriend... she absolutely despised her. They would fight a lot same thing with Murdoc. They were like oil and water.

Then that fateful day... she caught Murdoc and Paula going at it in the bathrooms. She was enraged. Her and Russ beat the living shit out of them both. Russel breaking Murdoc's nose and Snipe fracturing Paula’s fingers. Paula was kicked out of the band but at what cost. 2-D was heart broken and fell into a depressive state. It didn’t help that he was still being abused by Murdoc. Snipe felt a strange emotion tighten in her chest. She didn’t know what it was but whatever it was started making her stay near him in the same room more often. They still wouldn’t talk. But she was just saying there as a presence for whatever he needed.

One day Murdoc put up a poster for a new guitarist. Nothing much changed but one day, they got a package. Out popped a young Japanese girl with a guitar... she jumped out and did a guitar solo before doing a 20 ft jump into the air before doing a karate kick and landing it.

She didn’t know much English but there was this one word she wouldn’t stop repeating....

Noodle.

Gorillaz phase 1: 

Snipe was slightly nicer to noodle than the others, maybe she was just waiting for a girl to arrive that WASN'T an asshole. Things had been going fairly decent. She tolerated everyone for the most part so life was good.

Every now and then she did have to get in fistfights with Murdoc because she wasn’t just going to watch someone get abused. It reminded her all too much of a certain girl. They had just finished their first album and it was a hit! Maybe this wasn’t going to be that bad at all!

Nothing much was happening except her messing around with del and Russ every now and then.

However after the Rick the house music video 2-D was badly  bruised and in pain so snipe reluctantly chucked some icepacks at him and left the room

Things we’re probably going to be fine!

Oh how wrong that would be...

Gorillaz phase 2: 

for the most part things were the same as phase 1. They had been filming music videos, doing interviews, and their second album was even more successful. Heck 2-D was even starting to stand up for himself! Good for him.

That was until el mañana. Noodle... she got shot down.. no one could find her body anywhere, assuming it got desecrated when the bomb blew up. It affected her more than she let on. That was just a kid and that was so horrible. She couldn’t imagine the horrors that happened there.

The band broke up soon after that and they all went their own way. Because how could they move on as a band without Noodle...

Pre phase 3:

Snipe moved back to America after that. She hadn’t remained in contact with anyone. She missed Russel but that was all in the past now. She worked as a cashier at a convenience store, occasionally getting recognized by fans and perverts who wanted a picture.

One day while working a shift a 40 year old man grabbed her rear, to which she started a fist fight with him and got fired from her job.

Now jobless she decided to start taking up gigs again as a singer which she was surprisingly good at. She managed to make a bit of money and be able to afford rent at her apartment. Every now and then she would think about the band, in a way... she kind of missed them.

One day while alone in her apartment gas started filling her room and she soon fell unconscious.

Gorillaz Phase 3: 

She was delivered to plastic beach in a big but albeit small suitcase. After a bit it was kicked open but not by her, seeing she was still unconscious. Turns out the reason why it was so cramped was because apparently Murdoc couldn’t afford two suitcases and jammed 2-D in there with her. She was awoken by the harsh sunlight. As she looked around she finally noticed 2-D. He looked different.

His hair had grown out slightly and he seemed to have matured more. He helped her out right as Murdoc came and showed them to their horrible horrible rooms. Since Snipe had always been extra aggressive to Murdoc he put her on the worst floor of the whole blasted island, which would only change if she shagged him to which she socked him in the face.

She had to listen to the sounds of 2-D being beat down for arguing without being able to do anything about it. It bothered her. She hated feeling helpless to watch someone be broken; it reminded her all too much about herself. Somehow she miraculously managed to convince Murdoc to move her to a better floor to which she was conveniently placed on the same floor 2-D was on in the same cell.

It had been a few years since then and she and 2-D had only gotten closer. Her hair had grown out long, her brown hair showing in her roots as she couldn’t die or cut her hair. Something about 2-D  drew her attention though. Maybe she adored how he didn’t put up with Murdoc any more. She always pretended to be oblivious to it but 2-D somehow knew. He always knew.

He could read her too well. He knew she was lying to him and to herself but he didn’t press it, he knew her boundaries. Soon after the pirates attacked and Russel and Noodle arrived, she and 2-D were separated. She ended up somewhere in Europe again to which somehow after seven years the band was reunited; but more importantly her and 2-D were reunited.

Gorillaz phase 4:

With things being normal again 2-D couldn’t hide it, he had to tell her here and now. He confessed to her and she didn’t pull away in disgust, heck she didn’t pull away at all, instead she let her guard down all the way and kissed him. Since that point they were always together. 2-D was almost always glued to her side despite how much she pretended to hate it.

She was actually happy. Things were bright. They were almost unstoppable!

Almost.

How did this happen? Somehow they had gotten into a fight. It went something like this...

What’s wrong with you! Why do you insist on hiding things from me?! You can trust me! We’re dating for heaven's sake!

We’re not dating! Can’t you see!? I don’t love you! I never have, Stuart! You're delusional to think I would!

Then why did you kiss me first!?! If what we had was a lie why didn’t you push me away sooner!?

Because I pity you! I never kissed you! And I never will!

Where is this coming from?! I thought we were doing fine!

Well clearly you were wrong. You're seeing things that aren’t there. I hope this will open up those botched eyes of yours.

They weren’t close after that. They never were. That had broken whatever fragile love they had shared. And for what? Because she wanted to save face? How stupid is she? And even as she had walked away his hand still reached out to her as his tears fell down.

Gorillaz phase 5: 

ever since they had split 2-D had been bitter. It didn’t help that he now had all the pressure on him. He had become a jerk. Snipe hated that even more. They would bicker almost constantly. Him always teasing and poking into her insecurities and her saying harsh things to him. They despised each other.

People would talk about it, any and all chemistry they had was gone. It had taken somewhat of a toll. In reality, she blamed herself for this. She blamed herself for the weight on his shoulders, the burden of having nobody left, and for most of the bad things that happened.

She started smoking more and talking less. She hid in her room more to avoid confrontation. One day after a tense morning they had gotten into a fistfight and started arguing. She had walked off and stormed into her room but she made the mistake of not closing the door fully. While 2-D passed by he got curious and decided to see if he could annoy her but he saw something he wasn’t prepared for. She wasn’t doing well, she was having an anxiety attack. Nobody even knew she had dealt with anxiety but she did.

She could hardly breathe, her breaths coming in short choked gasps. Her eyes were watering but after a bit she managed to calm herself and she lit another cigarette.

2-D sneaked away and never mentioned what he saw but he kept it in the back of his mind for future purposes.
