Professor Maple has always loved Pokémon.
Not in the way trainers do, driven by battles and victories, but with a desire to understand them. He never wanted to fight. He wanted to observe, analyze, and learn.

That passion led him to graduate from university with a degree in Pokémon Studies, officially earning the title of Pokémon Professor. Unfortunately, a diploma alone was not enough. Lacking field experience, Maple was rejected by multiple scientific institutions, his research dismissed before it could even begin.

Determined to prove his worth, he set out to develop a project that would earn him recognition.

His focus was Pokémon growth. Levels. Strength. The way Pokémon become more powerful through battle. Maple was convinced that fighting could not be the only answer. There had to be other methods. Other forms of physical activity. Other stimuli capable of producing results.

After extensive research, he believed he had found the key.

Maple would prove that a Pokémon could grow stronger through methods that were... unconventional. Mating. Maple had hypothesized that physical exertion and the ecstasy of climax could cause a Pokémon to level up over time.

To begin his experiment, he acquired a Pokémon from a nearby reserve.
