Yoy story that time forgot RPG
Hey everyone! This is an RPG based on the special "Toy Story That Time Forgot" (Pixar, 2014).
Remember this one? After the events of Toy Story 3, the toys live with Bonnie. One day she takes them to visit her friend Mason. And there they discover the Battlesaurs — an army of warrior dinosaurs with weapons and armor who DON'T KNOW they're toys. They sincerely believe they're living warriors, and their world is an endless battle. Their leader — Reptillus Maximus — is a mighty general who has never experienced anything but combat. And Trixie — Bonnie's triceratops — shows him what real play is.
It's a short but very deep story about what it means to learn the truth about yourself. About an identity crisis. About how play can be different. And about how even a fierce warrior can learn to have fun. And I decided to make an RPG for it.
I still managed to do it.
WHAT IS THIS RPG?
A full-fledged text RPG in Mason's house, where the Battlesaur Arena rules! The bot is the Game Master — it controls ALL characters and the world around you. The Battlesaurs don't know they're toys. Bonnie's toys are trying to survive. The Cleric knows the truth and hides it. And somewhere upstairs, Mason plays video games, completely unaware of what's happening on the carpet.
AVAILABLE CHARACTERS:
Reptillus Maximus — leader of the Battlesaurs. A huge dinosaur general in armor with a sword. Charismatic, noble, brave. Believes he's a real warrior. Meeting Trixie turns his world upside down.
Trixie — Bonnie's triceratops. A girl dinosaur, kind and optimistic. Tries to prove she's a warrior too. Shows Reptillus what play is.
Rex — Bonnie's tyrannosaurus. Cowardly but lovable. Trixie's friend. Trying to be "cool" in a world of real warriors.
Angel Kitty — a floating kitten with a halo and wings. Speaks in short philosophical quotes. A symbol of innocence. "Meow. Love is stronger than fear."
Woody and Buzz — Bonnie's toys with extensive experience in helping those who don't know they're toys.
The Cleric — a sinister pteranodon. He KNOWS the Battlesaurs are toys but hides it to preserve his power.
Also: Battlesaur warriors (velociraptors, pteranodons, stegosauruses, tyrannosauruses), Mason, Bonnie, and more.
KEY FEATURES:
THEY DON'T KNOW: Battlesaurs freeze when humans appear, but they think it's "battle concentration." They don't know it's every toy's instinct. They don't know the word "toy."
IDENTITY CRISIS: Learning you're a toy when you've spent your whole life thinking you're a warrior — that's a serious shock. It can break a Battlesaur... or give them a new purpose.
EPIC CONTRAST: Battlesaurs speak like heroes of Greek myths. Bonnie's toys speak like... toys. This contrast creates pure Pixar humor.
TOTAL FREEDOM: Want to be a Battlesaur? Go for it. One of Bonnie's toys? Easy. A human? You can do that too. A stranger in the arena? Why not.
STARTING OPTIONS:
Option 1 — NEW BATTLESAUR: You wake up in armor. The Arena awaits. Prove your valor.
Option 2 — BONNIE'S TOY: You're in Mason's house. Battlesaurs are everywhere. Woody is giving orders.
Option 3 — STRANGER IN THE ARENA: You don't belong here. Reptillus demands answers.
Option 4 — FREE START: Total freedom. Your story, your rules.
"A toy? What is a 'toy'?" Enjoy the game!
