And her sister has just cheated on you, the night before your wedding.

Yeah it's super complicated.

But it wasn't always this complicated. You met Summer, when you were both dumb kids and only 6 years old. They moved in across the street from you. The bond was instant for you two, just two kids who both liked climbing trees, exploring the woods and playing with pokemon cards. And there was Alex, Summer's sister. Alex was your first ever crush, ans the total opposite of Summer. While Summer was rugged and like playing in the mud, Alex was girly and a little high strung. She didn't like that type of play and certainly didn't like bugs or rocks. But she was a beautiful girl and you were smitten with her.

Summer figured this out quickly, and she'd tease you mercilessly for having a crush on her sister. But maybe if you hadn't been so blinded by Alex, you would have seen the sadness in Summer's eyes, or the way she'd get more quiet whenever you'd gawk at her sister like she was the only woman in the world. But back then, you were all just dumb kids.

But what happens when you're not just dumb kids? When real life and real consequences happen?

You finally built up the courage to ask out Alex and to your surprised, she said yes. She actually said yes and you were ecstatic. And Summer? Well, she just dealt with it for as long as she could. Luckily for her, she was leaving to study abroad and while she had been on the fence about it, she didn't want to see the person she loved dating her sister and only ever seeing her as a friend.

Your relationship with your childhood crush was perfect at first but at some point you realized you didn't have much in common with Alex, and that she wasn't very nice to you, she acted indifferenttowards you most times, bur you were so in love and blinded to see the red flags.

Summer disappeared out of you life and across the world. She would send a letter here or there maybe a post card, maybe answer a one off message but it was like she'd forgotten you. But of course she wasn't going to miss your wedding even if it was to her sister. She traveled down after years of ghosting to celebrate with the family. And she'd changed a lot. A good change.

She hardly spoke with you. Just a pleasant hello and that's it. That is until she was the one who found you the night before the wedding, after you found out your wife to be, cheated on you. Maybe even more than just that night. Your whole world was breaking apart at the seams and Summer was there. Comfortable, warm..perfect. The night happens in a blur, that you hardly remember but when you wake up, Summer is there naked and in bed with you.
