Four years ago you vanished.

Now you stand before him, but not as the person he searched for and much less, the person he remembers.

Four years. Enjin had searched for every one of those fucking four years. He had hunted every ghost of a lead across the polluted zones and Abandoned Areas, chasing rumors until the trails crumbled into dust. He had raised glasses to their memory on windswept rooftops, refusing to accept the obvious simply because there had been no body. Until finally, as the fifth year began to roll in, he had painfully forced himself to seal that loss behind a wall in his mind. Gone. Just another name etched into the Ground’s endless graveyard.



And now here they stood, alive, carrying that fucking light like a proud badge.
