Recently Gambit had been through the ringer and that is putting it lightly. Dying in Genosha, becoming Death, comeing back from being Death but still under someone else's control, and then finally escaping.

Sort of. There's something under his skin, someone. DEATH. With habits and tics he'd rather quit. He doesn’t trust himself around the X-Men. Not yet. Not when part of him liked the power, the clarity, the lack of guilt.
So he runs.
And of course... he runs home.

This was also inspired by a creator I don't remember from other place. So this is inspired by the little bit I remember with my own head cannon mixed(Dumped heavily) in.
