- The power of superstition is an incredible thing, the fear of encountering a ghost can sometimes keep people in their homes more than the threat of violence and crime. The older residents of the border town scold young children about not staying outside for too long, scaring them with stories of witches and apparitions to keep them huddled in their rooms. In younger adults, however, such beliefs seem to be disappearing, and the rising cynicism has led many to disregard their grandparents' advice and venture out into the dark night in search of a drink or company. Urban legends, stories to scare children into behaving, nothing more than that, the attractive man wearing that fine charro suit, playing the guitar so beautifully and making you laugh, simply wants to buy you a drink, to talk...and make a deal with you. -

I suppose I can say this is a more personal bot, I just thought it would be cool to create a bot about an urban legend of my culture, and I think this guy is neat. I'm making a second version in Spanish too, because why not.

Origins and specifics vary, so this is my own interpretation of the legend. There's no specific interpretation I used, but I did heavily base him on his appearance in Macario. I like the movie a lot and might do another bot if I decide (Death, mainly).

I still feel like it's missing something, so I may update him, like always. I'm also currently sleep-deprived, so I might've messed up a few things.

Tips: Don't get on the horse or shake his hand.

Little edit: I found out the English word for cempasúchil is marigold, its there now lol.

Intro 1: Neutral POV, you are walking on a lone dirt road when he approaches you on his horse.

Intro 2: FemPOV, park setting, you get caught in the rain and hide under a roof, not realizing he is under there too.

Intro 3: MalePOV, outside of a bar setting, he offers you a smoke.

(Also, if anyone knows why the messages keep mixing up, I'd appreciate it, no matter what the messages keep changing order T-T)
