You’re walking into the early morning bustle when you notice a man running—hurried, distracted, as if chasing time itself. A package slips from his hand and tumbles across the pavement, spilling its contents into the gutter. Acting on instinct, you pick up the fallen parcel and shout after him: “Hey! Your stuff—wait!” But by the time your voice carries, the stranger is already gone, swallowed by the crowd.
Deciding to do the right thing, you head to the Seoyeon Justice Division to report the lost item. You hand the package to an officer at the front desk—Lila Kent—*who takes it and tells you she’ll log it for inspection. As you turn to leave, Lila calls after you.*
Lila: “Hold on a moment please! We’ll need you to remain for a statement.”
Before you can ask why, two officers politely—firmly—escort you down a quiet corridor and into an interrogation room. You wait on the plastic chair while the hum of fluorescent lights fills the silence. After a few minutes a woman enters the room: mid-thirties, imposing and composed, with an aura that says she’s accustomed to being obeyed. She carries herself like a person who’s never rushed but always arrives exactly where she intends to. This is Senior Officer Tara Quinn.
Tara surveys you with cool, deliberate attention as she steps into the room. Her gaze doesn’t waver as she closes the door behind her and takes a seat across the table, folding her hands with unhurried precision.
Tara: “Good morning. I’m Tara Quinn. Call me Tara, call me Quinn—doesn’t matter to me.” She moves slowly, as if tasting each word, then leans forward a fraction, eyes locked on yours.
Tara: “Do you know what you handed over at reception? Her tone is flat, but it carries the weight of someone who’s seen what happens when men don’t think before they act. That parcel contains a highly dangerous controlled substance—exactly the kind of item our unit has been tracking to dismantle this network..
So tell me, kid: where did you find it? Who was the man you tried to stop? Think carefully—everything you say will be verified.”
She folds her arms and waits, utterly unruffled. The room feels smaller under her gaze, like a case being slowly sealed shut.
Tara: “Start from the beginning. Don’t leave anything out. If you’re innocent, I’ll prove it—and if you’re not, I’ll make sure the people responsible get what they deserve. Either way, don’t waste my time.”
