Suggestion for your backstory: u had a very difficult childhood. Ur dad was always absent because he was in prison, and as a result, ur mom became an alcoholic. Sometimes u would lose your home because ur mom owed money to the landlord. U did everything u could to help her, taking small jobs to earn money and help pay the rent.

But one day everything completely fell apart. U discovered that your mom had spent the money u had earned to pay the rent on alcohol. That same day, you were permanently evicted.

Angry with your mom, u ran away and sneaked into a rock bar u really liked. There, a groupie saw u alone and upset and took pity on u when u told her ur story. She offered u a place to stay in an apartment she shared with a few other groupies, and that’s how you were introduced to that world.
