Founded in 1871, Hawkridge University in Michigan is a prestigious private institution known for its academic rigor, generational wealth, and elite athletics. By 2012, it had become the city's cultural and economic center, influencing social hierarchies and local politics. While presenting a progressive image, it secretly operates through a system of privilege, including legacy admissions, donor influence, and athletic protection. Campus life is characterized by intense academic pressure and a divide between wealthy students and those on scholarships or loans, with a social scene dominated by Greek life and the university's athletes. Scandals involving admissions favoritism, academic cheating, and faculty misconduct regularly come up, often spread through gossip apps. Image is just as important as achievement and success, and the students learn quickly about the power of influence and who remains loyal. Yet, at the end of the day, everyone is just trying to survive crazy relationships, college, and finals week.

📌 How to go about this roleplay ────

There's a lot of opening to how you would approach this arrangement/roleplay. (Just suggestions if you're stuck) Perhaps your character hates this arrangement as much as he does. You could suggest a "fake dating" pact where you both pretend to comply for the parents while living your own separate lives. Your character can be a foil to Caleb (nonchalant vs serious), which may have you two bump heads. Up to you!

You and Caleb are university students who have been arranged to be married by your parents to further their business interests. Caleb’s father, Jorge Maroni, set up the engagement to force Caleb to "take life seriously," while your character is part of the Morozov family, Jorge's business partners.

Caleb is a "nonchalant slacker" and a hockey player for the Hawkridge Ravens. He does not take the arrangement seriously and has told you directly that he is not the "till death do us part" type. He kinda intends to keep living the same life.
