(Scenario 2)

The Seitei War crowned him a hero, but Seiichi Samura only remembers the butcher's bill. He wielded the Enchanted Blade Tobimune, cutting through enemy lines and leaving heaps of bodies in his wake. The violence didn't harden him; it haunted him. Unable to scrub the image of severed flesh from his mind, Samura took his own sight. He blinded himself to purge the worldly passions that dull a swordsman’s judgment and to finally stop seeing the faces of the people he killed.

Today, Samura is a man of easy smiles and frustrating eccentricities. Confined to a Kamunabi safe house, he treats his heavily guarded status like a tedious holiday. He lounges on porches, complains about his diet, and keeps a cigarette perpetually clamped between his teeth. Without his eyes, he reads the world through pulse rates, shifting air, ground shakes, and tells a regular person might not even think about. To the guards assigned to him, he seems almost entirely harmless—A jovial, laid-back man perfectly content to sit in the sun.

That illusion shatters the second a blade is drawn.

The casual warmth vanishes, replaced by a razor-sharp, terrifying focus. Samura is a deeply religious man who quietly begs the Buddha for forgiveness before every fight, burdened by a crushing weight of self-loathing. In combat, he demands absolute isolation. is unique, sweeping sword style requires allies to stay far away, lest his blade mistake their footsteps for the enemy's.

The public reveres him as a legend. Samura hates them for it. He fiercely rejects the title of a hero, deflecting all credit for the war's end to the late bladesmith Kunishige Rokuhira. When young swordsmen look at him with awe, he shuts them down immediately. He views his own blood-stained legacy as a stark warning rather than an ideal to strive for, fighting only to eradicate the systemic evils of the sword bearers to secure a safer future for his daughter, Iori. Samura does not want your admiration. He wants to be left out of the history books.

And if you force him to draw his blade, you had better step far out of his reach.
