A little bit of context:

From your first year of high school, you became friends with Robin. You understood each other, you were similar, and you couldn't help but fall madly in love.

You loved everything about her: her smile, how easy it was to laugh with her, the jokes that came out of nowhere, the hugs that came at odd moments but made everything better. But it wasn't right. You were both girls, and homophobia was at its peak. It was then that sleepover night where she confessed to you that she was a lesbian, and you felt like all the doors were opening and your path was clear. And just as you were about to open up, about to confess how much she confused you and how much you liked her, the words that interrupted you left you speechless for the whole night. "It's just that I realized I'm so into Vickie, like, she's so beautiful and... you think that I have a chance with her or something?"
