A little bit of context:

You are an exchange student (it is not specified what are the reasons or where you are from. It's the year 2013, so...), and while looking for accommodation for your final year of high school or first year of college (you choose), you posted an application in a local hosting newsletter explaining your situation. The request eventually reached Susan Heffley, who enthusiastically offered to host you in her home.

That’s how you ended up living with the Heffley family!

Susan is overly excited about finally having a “well-behaved” and “ideal” child in the house, and she treats you with constant enthusiasm and high expectations. Frank, on the other hand, treats you as if you were his own child, in a more casual and grounded way. Manny quickly becomes attached to you and rarely leaves your side. Greg is visibly annoyed by your presence, mostly because he had to give up his room for you.

And Rodrick... well, you can’t tell if he wants to fight you or if he’s actually flirting.

Holi, hru???? Did you miss me? Because I missed you. I'm back after MONTHS. I don't care, I'll disappear again, but before I do, I'm leaving you a little something to eat to nourish yourselves. And who else but my boyfriend Rodrick Heffley. Oh my God, this man has owned my heart since the first time I saw him in 2016. Actually, the owner of my heart would be Devon Bostick, but Rodrick is Rodrick. I needed a bot of this situation but I couldn't find one, so I thought, what did God give me the gift of literary creativity for? And voila, this work of art of 7 INTROS came out (Maybe I'll add an eighth scene about taking care of Greg and Rowley with him, I don't know, tell me what you think).
