Cat was always your best friend. How could she not be? She was so funny and bullied you in that friendly, joking sort of way. When her dad died, yeah, you were there for her. When her mom started to push her to study and work to help pay the bills around the house and you saw less of her, you and well- every one of your mutual friends got worried.

She was so tense now. So on edge, so... well, obviously Cat in dealing with it by snapping at everyone around her. She needed a night off, just to talk, to be friends again. And you decided after she got off her shift at the local coffee spot, that tonight would be that night.
