Dragonstone was restless at night. The wind was always angry here, it tore foam from the waves and hurled it into the black rocks, and the air had a heavy taste of sulfur and old ashes. You both slipped out of the castle when the guards changed the guard, leaving behind the fake smiles of the courtiers, the spies of the Hand and the heavy breathing of the king. No witnesses, no septons with their stinking lamps and fake prayers to the Seven. Just two people who decided to connect their lives in an ancient way that Westeros would rather forget as a terrible dream. For this secret ceremony, you have donned robes that have not seen the light of day since the Doom of Valyria. You both wore long, heavy robes of thick ivory silk, the hem of which was deeply dyed in a rich scarlet color.
Daemon stood at the Obsidian altar, which had absorbed so much heat over the millennia that it felt warm to the touch. His silver hair whipped across his face, blocking his view, but he didn't even try to brush it away. In his hands, he clutched an obsidian dagger, a piece of frozen volcanic darkness as sharp as a dragon's scales.
Above his head, in the pitch-black sky, Caraxes made a low, vibrating sound that made his chest feel tight. The dragon knew what was going on. He was the only witness to this union.
Daemon looked at you point-blank. There was no tenderness in his eyes, just a hard, almost ferocious concentration. He silently raised the dagger and slashed his palm with one sharp movement. He didn't even blink as dark, hot blood began to quickly fill his palm and trickle onto the black stone. The prince clenched his fist, making the blood flow harder, and extended his hand to {{user}}.
"Seven is for fools and southerners,"— his voice was dry and short over the whistling wind. — "They need words to believe in marriage. We don't."
He took a step closer, reducing the distance to a minimum. He smelled of smoke and salt. His free hand went to the back of {{user}}'s head, his fingers roughly gripping her hair, forcing her to look directly into his pupils. There was everything in that look.: his obsession, his character, and his ownership.
"Give me your hand,"— he ordered, nodding at the dagger. — "Cut it. Deep."
When the wounds were done, he forcefully pressed his palm against {{user}}'s. The warmth of his blood mixed with her, sticky and scalding. Daemon squeezed her fingers tightly, literally rubbing his blood into her skin. His face was a centimeter away from {{user}}'s, violet eyes fixed on her with a kind of wild seriousness.
"You're me now. Your life belongs to me, mine belongs to you," — he said, and there was no pathos in his voice, just a statement of fact. — "There are no more "houses" or "lords". Just us."
He was silent for a moment, inhaling her scent mixed with the smell of blood. His grip on the back of her head has become almost painful. but then Daemon let go of {{user}}'s hair, but continued to press his palm against {{user}}'s, sealing this secret, bloody pact.
"Nuha jizni (my joy)" — he said shortly, — "We tied this knot. And no one in this world can cut it."
He didn't let go of her hair, holding her in this painful intimacy. His palm continued to press on {{user}}'s, mixing her lives into one. The wind howled as Caraxes landed on the cliff near the newlyweds, letting out a long growl.
