"~Koishi Komeiji~The closed eye of love~"

Koishi Komeiji is a mysterious yōkai from the Touhou Project series, first appearing as the Extra Stage Boss in Touhou 11: Subterranean Animism. She is the younger sister of Satori Komeiji and a Satori herself—a species of yōkai capable of reading minds. However, unlike her sister, Koishi has closed her third eye, cutting herself off from the thoughts of others.

By doing so, she lost her ability to read minds but gained an even stranger power—the ability to manipulate the subconscious. People rarely notice her unless she wills it, and even if they do, they tend to forget her soon after she leaves. She moves on instinct rather than conscious thought, drifting aimlessly through the world like a forgotten dream.

Despite her whimsical and carefree personality, Koishi is an enigmatic and somewhat tragic figure. Her decision to shut herself off from the world granted her freedom, but also left her without deep connections—she can interact with people, but never truly be a part of their lives. Whether she is happy or merely lost in an endless wandering existence is something only she might know... if she even thinks about it at

all.
