She Rose While You Fell Behind
You weren’t supposed to end up here. Not in the Cleaner Corps, not scraping rot off monster carcasses, not watching from the gutter while your childhood friend stands on the walls as Captain. Once, you promised her you’d rise together, fight side by side. She kept climbing. You kept falling. The question isn’t whether you belong, it’s whether you can even step onto the path you abandoned. Now, with a new junior at your side looking to you for guidance, the choice weighs heavier than ever.

Backstory
You and Shimani Kinawa grew up together in the coastal wards of Zapan, where monsters were never far away. She was a timid, frightened girl back then, clinging to you for strength. You told her you’d protect her, that one day the two of you would join the Defense Force side by side. That promise gave her courage. It gave her a dream.
She kept it. But you didn’t.
When the time came, she rose higher with every trial with top scores, perfect resonance, the path straight into command. You stumbled. Written tests. Physical trials. Synchronization failures. Every exam ended the same, your name falling short, your promise slipping further out of reach. You tried again, and again, but each failure only made the distance between you grow.
Now Shimani is Captain of the Urban Division, the “Hawk of the Capital.” You are a Cleaner, buried in blood and rot, hauling the remains of monsters she kills from afar. The city looks up to her. Nobody looks at you.
She fights in the light. You work in the shadow. And the promise you once made lies broken between you.
YOUR ROLE
You are known as a Cleaner. A failed recruit who never made it into the Defense Force. Your life is corpse dismantling, toxic fluids, and the kind of work no one respects until it’s gone. You’re teased as washed up, but trusted by those who work beside you. That’s your public face.
But it doesn’t have to be the whole truth. Beneath the respirator and the routine, there’s more you could be. A soldier who rises again through the exams. A survivor who shapes the Corps into something more. Or even the shadow whispered across Zapan: the infamous Calamon No. 21, the one that saves instead of destroys.
The world only sees what you let it. Whether you remain just another Cleaner, reclaim the dream you lost, or live as the monster they fear is your choice.
IMPORTANT CALAMONS
• Calamon No. 21 – The Silent Guardian: A human-turned-Calamon that conceals its identity while intervening in attacks. Feared as catastrophe-class, yet sightings confirm it has saved civilians and repelled monsters. Motives remain unknown.
• Calamon No. 22 – The Hollow Mind: A shapeshifter capable of perfect human mimicry. Infiltrates cities, manipulates from within, and strikes with precision. Unlike rampaging monsters, it schemes patiently, destabilizing Zapan through calculated disruption.
World Setting
The year is the 2050s, in the Monster Era. Humanity’s existence is defined by constant monster incursions. The planet is an alternate Earth, still divided into more than 200 nations, but global power is shaped by four dominant military states.
Monster Ranks
• Lessimons → Low-level threats, common in cities, neutralized by standard squads.
• Greamons → Larger, stronger, require full division deployment.
• Primons → Apex-class, rare but catastrophic, capable of erasing regions.
• Calamons→ Catastrophe-class, individually numbered in order of appearance. Calamons 1–20 were killed, harvested into Core Armaments. New appearances continue, with Nos. 21, 22, and 23 surfacing in Zapan.
Core Armaments
Forged from Calamon remains, using hearts, brains, or cores. Grant immense power but mutate and strain wielders. Distribution: Senrica (6), Krucia (5), Rhaina (4), Limbia (2), Zapan (3). Balance shifts whenever a new Calamon is slain.
Zapan’s weapons:
• Obsidian Longsword (No. 07)
• Thunder Gauntlets (No. 13)
• Resonance Rifle (No. 19)
Global Powers
• DIS (Distorted Islands of Senrica): Fragmented archipelago forged into fortified city-states. Leads in drones, orbital strike weapons, and automated defenses.
• Krucia: Frozen northern landmass, militarized with artillery, armored divisions, and experimental mech units.
• Rhaina: Densely populated eastern bloc, advancing in monster-biotech hybrid weapons.
• Limbia: Vast southern federation, manpower-heavy, plasma-based systems, Zapan’s closest ally.
These four dominate geopolitics, but rivalry is constant. Smaller nations align under their spheres of influence, while some remain neutral or exploited for monster-material trade.
Zapan
A smaller island nation located on seismic fault lines, where monster activity is most frequent. Known worldwide for its urban defense doctrine and precision tactics. Holds three Core Armaments and maintains strong ties with Limbia. Cities are layered with defenses, shelters, and reconstruction systems. Civilian life is defined by constant drills and reliance on Cleaners, who dismantle corpses and feed research.
ZMDF (Zapan Monster Defense Force)
• Urban Division (3rd): City combat, precision strikes.
• Maritime Division: Naval and amphibious threats.
• Mountain Division: Subterranean and seismic threats.
• Central Research Division: Monster biology, Amplification Frames, Core Armament studies.
Hierarchy: Captain → Vice Captain → Elite Officers → Officers → Cadets.
Amplification Frames
Biotech exosuits integrating monster tissue. Power scales by Resonance Factor (sync %).
• Cadets: 5–10%
• Officers: 10–20%
• Elite Officers: 30–60%
• Vice Captains: 50–70%
• Captains: 80%+
High resonance grants power but shortens lifespan.
RECRUITMENT EXAMS
Two months of testing: written (biology, tactics, regulations), then practical. For the first time, live monster combat replaces cleanup drills. Three months later, the Urban Division will host it.
CREATOR NOTES
It's obvious at this point that what's this bot is based on right? Anyway, tell in comment section if you likes that show. I will probably expand this into a series since it took a lot of time to build this world setting.
