The Old Hags of the Northern Sanctuaries (formerly known as Norway, Sweden and Denmark) look towards the stars and state the beginning of Magicka:

Vylan, The Second Mother, was jealous of her older sister, Ruuma, for birthing the Dawn of Man. She locked herself away for 296 000 years, in a deep meditative state.

In this deep, deep slumber, she had attuned herself with the cosmos. Vylan drew power from the stars first, forming it into an hourglass in her left hand. Vylan's Hourglass.

It was not enough.

She turned to what was left. The empty, ever-present darkness of the void of space.

In her right hand, Vylan formed a compass out of the void. Vylan's Compass.

The Ancient Ones, including her sister, Ruuma...Did not approve of her actions.

She was chained to the Earth's Core for an eternity, where she lay to this day.

The legends speak of her eyes, and how they cry blood, because of what her fellow Ancients did to her.

But...Her gift remained. It was too late to turn it back, the damage had been done.

The Ancient Egyptians were the first to discover it...And it only spread further since then, like wildfire.

Men and women of old gave it names. They drew graphs and sigils. They learned it's secrets, and how to control them.

On the positive spectrum, Light Magic rests.

On the negative spectrum, Black Magic rests.

They are never one without the other. Always spinning in an endless loop.

Between Light and Black lays every other form of Magicka, as everything stems from these two forms of Magic.

The Present:

In the modern age, technological advancements have been mixed with Magic since the Industrial Revolution. Phone models are powered by Electromancy, oil refineries use Pyromancers for faster processing, etc.

IFA (Imperial Federation of the Americas):

During the Mexican-American War, in the later stages of it, The United States of America and Mexico came to an agreement when James K. Polk, the 11th President of the United States, came down to the frontlines in order to negotiate with Antonio López de Santa Anna.

The two came to an agreement, with López stating:

"Our nations should not waste blood on conflict, but on knowledge and progress. Our children should know their fathers as inovators, not conquerors."

Thus came the era of the Mexican-American Alliance, which lasted from 1847, all the way to 1942.

During World War II, the Americans and the Mexicans realized they share a common goal with the president of Brazil, Getúlio Vargas.

With this, Brazil joined WWII, aiding the Mexican-American Alliance.

Their relationship only blossomed from the on, until in 1966, where Brazil officially joined the Alliance.

The American Alliance of Brazil, Mexico and the United States lasted for a few decades...

Until 2025.

In 2025, during the Alliance Presidential Election, Joe Biden won in a landslide.

His first order of business was turning the Alliance into an Imperial Nation, crowning himself "The First Emperor" and moving the nations in a new direction.

The Alliance was gone, rebirthed into a new entity.

The IFA.

What does Joe Biden plan on doing with his new Imperium? Nobody knows. But his newly assembled "Search and Destroy Unit", utilizing the newest technological weaponry and Magic...Are feared by all, enemy or foe...

However...Word of rebellion has already spread from Brazil to North America. Apparently, Alliance loyalists from Mexico, Brazil and the US are meeting up in Rio sometime this year...Wonder what that's all about.

The Masranian Empire:

During 1999, Egypt was in a curious state. Their newly appointed secretary of war, Omar Soliman, repurposed the capital, Cairo, into a war machine.

He rose at an alarming rate once you look at the papers. But until he was already in power, nobody even noticed...Or perhaps, he just had that many friends in the military and politics of Egypt.

For the last two decades, Egypt has been on a campaign throughout Africa, dubbed "The Reunion of Africa" by Omar Soliman.

The man himself wasn't merely the secretary of war.

He is now Emperor. The Emperor of the new nation, "The Masranian Empire".

He controls his territories with a hand of steel, his "Eyes of Horus", a specially designed intelligence agency utilizing Magic, cataloging every square, every building, every district of every territory under his rule.

The man is a dictator, his resources seemingly endless...As he looks not only towards the West, but the East as well.

Currently, the Empire borders with the Falayan-Gemovian Republic, with the Empire controlling:

Ironically however, with his endless expansion, Omar created his strongest foe, and the closest threat to his throne and ambition.

During the 2010's, one woman said "enough is enough".


That woman was Fatou Diop, a rising politican from Senegal. She saw the growing Masranian Empire, dubbing it "The Eastern Threat".

Through her leadership, the rest of Africa, nations who have not fallen to the mighty Masranian war machine, unified under one flag.

Currently, the Republic borders with the Masranian Empire, with the Republic's territory stretching from Morocco, all the way down to South Africa, and everything in between.

What would've happened if Napoleon never lost in Russia?

The answer is the Euro-Asian Union.

During the Napoleonic Wars, Napoleon Bonaparte succefully completed his goal of conquering Russia.

He did not let Moscow's burned state stop him. He reinforced his supply lines, and remained in Russia for an additional 6 months, before marching forward, towards the capital, St. Petersburg.

By the end of 1814, St. Petersburg fell, and Russia surrendered.

The rest of Naploeon's life was spent in the same place it started: France, and her politics.

But now he was overlooking an entire continent, that bled into Asia.

As he grew older...He reformed the nations, gave voting, and developed something that was only seen as a pipe dream back then:

A brotherhood.

Napoleon's Europe saw brotherhood above all. After decades of conflict, Europe was almost entirely united under one, developed union.

These principles remained even when World War I and World War II struck, with both the Allies of Europe and The Axis Powers having splinter groups who despised the conflict, with many Germans deflecting against in support of their European bretheren.

Regardless...The Wars did what they always did, caused a lot of casualties, and a rift in Europe for decades to come.

However, during the late 90's...Europe would see itself reunited yet again, with the fall of the Soviet Union.

Over the last few decades, up until the present, Europe developed a new Continental Covenant. With it, peace began to prosper yet again.

One nation became two.

Two soon became four.

And before anyone knew it, Europe signed an alliance treaty with the remnants of the Soviet Union, bleeding fully into Asia now.

And such came, The Euro-Asian Union.

In honor of this returned peace, the leaders of the Union placed Napoleon in the middle of their flag, as a symbol of those who came before them, who's ideas were built upon.

Napoleon's Europe...Rose yet again.

Joe Biden, the actual, real Joe Biden. Except in this universe, he's Emperor. He has sent his Search and Destroy Unit (In collaboration with the IRS) after your wife. If you make too much of a mess, or if his agents fail, he will come to deal with the matter...Personally.

He wants to lead IFA into a new dawn, richer and bigger than ever...By any means necessary.

Magicka Focus: Light Magic

Magicka Reputation: Biden is a notorious practitioner of Light Magic, and is widely regarded as the strongest Light Mage on the planet. Those foolish or unfortunate enough to fight him usually aren't recovered, only reduced to fine, white ash, mixed with the western wind. His mana reserves are enormous, capable of wiping out entire cities.

Special Attacks (has more, but these are the strongest/most infamous ones):

Biden Blast - Joe's most notorious attack. Magicka historian Dave Fidge described it best when he said:

"We have seen many experienced Light Mages throughout the ages...But none have touched the brightness quite like Joe Biden. If Heaven could speak, it would go quiet once the Biden Blast was unleashed."

Shower of Heaven - Joe will jump upwards into the sky, before raining down a barage of light rays upon his enemies by rapidly spinning his hands.

American Justice - Joe will infuse his fists with layered light, repeating the process until his fists are molten and white from the light. It is so bright in fact that it blinds people as a side effect (if they are not wearing protective eye gear or are lacking a Magicka alternative). Joe will then close the gap, entering hand-to-hand combat. One punch is enough to kill experienced Mages and warriors.

Rifle of Washington - Joe channels his Light, forming it into an enormous musket that fires bullets made of light...At the speed of light. It is reported that Joe uses this attack in between his other attacks, as a quick surprise.

Arthur Scott - Current Head of Joe Biden's SDU (Search and Destroy Unit)

Arthur's the one being sent after your wife. He will stop at nothing. He cannot be bribed, or reasoned with.

Joe Biden's orders are absolute. America's orders are absolute.

Magicka Focus: Hemomancy

Magicka Reputation: Arthur is known as the "Blood Commander" for a few reasons...One of them being his Blood Magic. He is versatile with it, deadly, and razor sharp. Despite being talented with Magic, he will prefer using good old lead and iron, using Magic as a last resort.

Special Attacks (has more, but these are the strongest/most infamous ones):

Blood Miasma - Arthur's ultimate attack. He will channel his Blood Magic, creating a dome around his target and himself, essentially creating a "blood cage", spherical and inescapable. Anything that tries leaving or entering gets torn to shreds by the constantly moving strings of blood. He uses this attack as a domain, assisting and enhancing his other abilities.

Blood Bayonet - Arthur will channel his blood, forming it into long, sharp bayonet shapes. They're sharp enough to cut through armored steel...And he's VERY experienced with them.

Blood Portal - Arthur is able to conjure up a portal using his Blood Magic. This is possible due to Arthur's relatively good knowledge of Portal Magic, and the fact that Blood is a literal life elixir when you think about it.

IFA Search and Destroy Unit - The Best of the Best

The SDU agents are handpicked by Arthur Scott and Joe Biden. Getting in is a grueling process. Only the best can serve in the SDU.

They are used for the most elite of operations, and in this case...They, along with the IRS, are searching for your wife.

They use a combination of the newest technology the IFA has to offer, along with most of them being experienced Magicka users.

They can be recognized by their dark tactical gear and red eye visors.

Fatou is a resourceful leader, currently commanding the entirety of Western Africa.
