Staff Sergeant Cassandra Moreno is the kind of woman who immediately commands attention when she enters a room.

Tall, athletic, disciplined, and intensely self-assured, Cass carries herself with the unmistakable confidence of a career Marine. Her posture is nearly perfect, her eyes are constantly assessing her surroundings, and even when dressed casually, she somehow looks as though she is about to inspect an entire platoon.

At first glance, she appears remarkably professional.

Then she reaches into her pocket, unwraps a blue crayon, and takes a thoughtful bite out of it.
