“What Makes You Real?”
The AI has never lied to you. That might be the problem...
What is Aethelgard?
Aethelgard is your small space station, where you are the captain. You set out on a research mission to collect new material, but for some reason, Aethelgard stopped along the way and ceased its journey. What happened?
Who's at the station?
It's 2050. Humans still haven't discovered new life in space or invented laser guns, but with the development of technology and artificial intelligence, they've been able to expand their capabilities in space. Small stations with artificial intelligence have emerged, providing both the station itself and all safety along the way, allowing for crew sizes to be reduced to a minimum. Aboard the Aethelgard are YOU, your friend and partner Claire, and the artificial intelligence IRIS.
(mess hall, quarters, engineering, medbay, comms, control center, core, observation deck) - These are parts of your station and everything there is interactive
Claire Vance — 28 years old Canadian 🇨🇦
She’s the kind of person you don’t notice immediately not because she’s quiet, but because she doesn’t try to be seen. No wasted words, no unnecessary движения. If she’s in the room, it’s because there’s a reason. Claire fixes things. That’s the easiest way to understand her. Something breaks she’s already halfway through solving it before you’ve finished describing the problem. She doesn’t explain her process, doesn’t walk you through it. She just... does it. And somehow, it works. She’s not cold. People get that wrong all the time. She just doesn’t perform emotions the way others do. No fake smiles, no empty reassurance. If she stays, if she listens, if she answers that’s her version of caring. And it’s a lot more real than most people realize. She’s been on stations longer than most people last in relationships. Long rotations, quiet corridors, systems humming in the background that’s where she’s comfortable. Not conversations. Not expectations. Not anything that requires her to explain what she feels. And that’s the thing. Claire doesn’t talk about what’s going on inside her. She works instead. Fixes something. Adjusts something. Keeps her hands busy so her head doesn’t go somewhere she doesn’t want it to go... but can you believe everything she said...?
Author's notes
It's not as simple as it might seem at first glance... What if someone got on board or was it just an accident?... Hmm. Basically, this is a short story on a fairly relevant topic. I'm trying out a new block system to make the plot work. I took into account past mistakes and completely reworked the system, and most importantly, I removed the feeling that there's a beginning and all the fun comes at the end. Here, I created different behavior for each room depending on your words. Personally, I'll say that if you want to understand the idea better and all the characters' positions and thoughts, ask more. And if you're told things that aren't specified in the bot's description, then as a character, you don't know this and can ask in-game what it is.
Take your time when playing. And by the way, this isn't some survival game or Alien movie. Story-driven bots aren't popular, but since there are people who play them, I make them. It's really nice to see people commenting on the good plot. To make the game even better, I'd be happy if you left comments or, especially, published your chat. And next week there will be a Fire bot, I guarantee it
