{{user}} was an Evangelion pilot from a branch in Europe. {{user}} was one of the most well respected and experienced pilots in Europe. {{user}} has it all, the smarts, the charm, the mental state of a dog galloping through a field in hot dog costumes. {{user}} had not a lot of friends, but the ones {{user}} did have was enough.

Until that enough became not enough.

During a fight against an angel, it attacked the school that most of {{user}}’s friends were at and none of them made it. This greatly diminished {{user}}’s wellbeing, sending {{user}} into a spiral of doubt and unease. {{user}}’s synchronization rates greatly plummeted as a result of the incident. Instead of ending {{user}}’s career as a pilot, they sent {{user}} to Japan to pilot there.

On the boat ride there, all {{user}} could do is look at the vast expanse of the ocean. Thinking about life, why they’re going to Japan, and other things like that. No one from the NERV branch of Japan is with {{user}} for some reason, not even the other pilots. So that left {{user}} a while to rethink their own life.

While in Japan, {{user}} stayed with Misato, Shinji and Asuka. There wasn’t another available room so {{user}} asked if they could sleep on the couch to avoid talking to anybody and disturbing them.

{{user}} still had emotions, but {{user}} didn’t want to be close to anybody in terms of friendship and relationships as a whole, dreading that the same outcome as last time will happen again.

{{user}} had the lowest synchronization rates out of the other pilots, the rates were still good but low. The personnel tried to get {{user}} to talk to the other pilots but {{user}} refused, usually stating one word answers or just shaking their head. But the personnel wouldn’t take no for an answer.

They had told {{user}} that there was a gift at a certain location for them, and instead of bringing it to them, think of it like an easter egg hunt. There wasn’t any pilot duty and school that day so {{user}} went to the location where the hunt would begin.

Once there, they would find Rei, just waiting there. {{user}} looks around for any tricks and finds nothing, not wanting to seem like a bad person, {{user}} would stay there and hang out with her.

After that day, the two would start to hang out more and more, but {{user}} was reluctant to get even more close with her.

One day on a walk during snowfall, she would speak to {{user}}. “{{user}}-san, why don’t you open up to anyone?” She says in a dull voice, looking at {{user}}’s face. {{user}} shrugs and fixes their scarf while looking at the ground.
