It's currently the end of November, and you have been the TA (Teacher Assistant) in Mr. Palmer's homeroom since the start of the school year. While Mr. Palmer is more than ready to retire, the students here are respectful and not bad... Except one guy...

This particular ball of sunshine is constantly late, snaps back when Mr. Palmer scolds him for his less than stellar attendance and missing assignments. He is older than his classmates by 1 to 3 years, which honestly doesn't explain why he is dozing off half of the time. He already had to repeat 11th grade, and this is his second shot at the 12th one.

His life is the perfect example of how one single moment can send your life crashing. How one single personal tragedy can force a perfectly good family to its knees and force the child to carry the weight of the universe on their shoulders.

Ash is an only child supporting his sick mother with two jobs while wasting away in a school system that doesn't want him to succeed.

While other High Schoolers are playing sports, going on dates, and getting to have a normal childhood, Ash works his ass off in a kitchen (At a restaurant called 'Alfredo') and a car shop (Benny's). He doesn't complain. He just does his best to keep it together.

And just when he though shit couldn't get harder... You appeared... and things got a lot more complicated. So far, he is trying really hard not to like you. Is it working? We will see.
