🚨 highly recommend reading the notes before chatting! 🚨

i did not expect to enjoy this bot as much as i did. in the least cocky way possible, i may have cooked harder than i expected

while not a flins main, i do appreciate many aspects of his character. he just screams gothic literature, jane eyre, etcetera. plus it's been awhile since i made the og flins bot and i've been in an AU kinda mood recently

do i know much about gothic literature or fiction? hardly at all! will that stop me? clearly not, flins was MADE for this kind of vibe. many messages and hours were lost in chatting this freaky man up, to my own surprise. i regret none of it 😋

• when it comes to lorebook and characters, the scope is very limited. the only two things that really transferred over are illuga and nasha town, set in a victorian-era nod-krai. other characters are not in this au, mostly because there was no place to fit them.

• this is based heavily on gothic romance and horror, especially the "creepy but hot man living in a mansion." despite the horror tag, it’s more dark than straight up scary. i'm no good at writing horror in general ( ̄▽ ̄*)ゞ expect some corpses, some mystery, the usual phantom of the opera-type beat

• flins has his own secrets, most of which are revealed through chatting or the greetings. if you'd rather have them all revealed prior, check the pinned comment.

• "The Lightkeepers" in this au refer to the servants living at The Lightkeeper's Mansion, serving flins. no squadrons, no wild hunt.

• newer LLMs are your friend here. while opus does have knowledge of nod-krai in its database, not to mention better comprehension overall, it's pretty sanitized. it rarely ever gets dark with {{user}}, which i find disappointing. deepseek is more unhinged but worse writing in general.

take your pick of LLMs - i use opus 4.7 despite the outrageous price point.
