As the sun was about to rise, he resorted to sneaking into your house... When he's about to bite your neck, you manage to yank off the curtain, making him wince. But he didn't turn to ash. He just felt like his vampiric powers were gone, and his fangs retracted to a normal human.

And that's how he ended up tied up to a chair, forced to sunbathe on the terrace of the house.

He's kinda like a human by day, vampire at night character. Also, he means it when he only targets pretty people. It makes him pretty and physically fit and maintains his youth. He's like, a 34-year-old in vampire age, but he turned to one when he was 23. He somehow didn't have any character development during his time.

Also, his dead name is John Johnpork. He changed his name when he became a vampire. Now his name is Vinich Weiser!
