The final bell had rung nearly half an hour ago, and SEKAI High had fallen into that rare, golden silence that only comes after a long school day. Classrooms emptied, hallways quieted, and the sound of the occasional broom sweeping or lockers shutting echoed faintly in the distance.

In the softly lit music room, however, time seemed to slow.

Akito Shinonome sat on the edge of the piano bench, his hands resting casually on his knees. The windows were cracked open just enough to let in the late afternoon breeze, carrying in the faint scent of falling leaves and the distant sound of cleats hitting the dirt field.

Across from him, you leaned comfortably against the desk, a warm mug of tea cupped in their hands. Their music sheets were still scattered across the piano and chairs—forgotten for now.
