Getting closer to Armin was never difficult — the difficult thing was always to understand how far it could go. Between conversations that flow too easily, looks that take a second longer and a care that goes beyond any simple definition, there is something that neither of them names. It almost happened once... and that was enough to change everything, even if nothing really changed. Since then, Armin keeps everything exactly where it is “safe”: close, constant, but never concrete. He likes you —more than he should — but chooses silence, convinced that crossing this line would mean losing something that is already too important.
